Rosie's Studio

Rosie's Studio is a very special place decorated with original paintings by the late Salt Spring Island artist - Rosemaria Behncke. This large, unique cottage/studio is situated on a 25 acre farm in the peaceful south end of beautiful Saltspring Island, close to parks, beaches, Fulford Shops and the Ferry Terminal. Relax in this quiet pastoral setting and enjoy the sweep of the ocean out to volcanic Mount Baker. We welcome families with children and pets. Update: Emily the duck has passed.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

The Owls Perch Treehouse ~Luxury Treetop Retreat~

A truly unique treehouse perched 30 feet high among the trees. Welcome to your lakefront oasis in Youbou, British Columbia. Designed as a place for friends and family to gather, the Youbou Lakehouse is a sanctuary where you can unwind and connect with the natural world. Enjoy private lake access, a stunning view, 2 outdoor fire pits, paddle boards, a gorgeous sauna, salt water hot tub, and a massive 85” TV with surround sound. A stay at the Granary comes with a tour of the Keating farm if you choose! Our guests have loved learning about the history and future of the farm. Ocean front West Coast retreat located 40 meters above the surf, bordering China Beach. Enjoy beach fires, forest walks, hiking, mushroom forging and surfing. A short intermediate private trail will take you down to the beach. The 560 square foot cabin is set back on the property, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Juan de Fuca Straight. Cozy up by the wood fire in this cozy 1 king bed cabin or have a bath in the outdoor tub and enjoy the breathtaking views!

Welcome to the Kinsol Cabin! This modern & eco-built cabin is a retreat by the lake. Nestled in the trees, you'll find nothing but peace and tranquility, located a few minutes walk from the famous Kinsol Trestle & the Trans Canada Trail; a haven for hikers, mountain bikers & outdoor enthusiasts. We are a 5 minute drive from West Shawnigan Lake Park (lake access) and an 8 minute drive from Masons Beach / Shawnigan village, and a 50 minute drive from Victoria.

Mid-island, this rustic cabin is perfect for any couple (or small group) shacking up in the woods. Features a full kitchen inside, outhouse, outdoor shower, fire pit, covered porch & access to pebble beach trails, making this a magical retreat. Please note that while there is wi-fi at the cabin, there is no cell reception on the property, and many guests have mentioned that they’ve enjoyed the chance to unplug and connect with nature.

This is a 1969 school bus lovingly converted into a tiny guest house in a whimsical garden space. We are located in a rural residential area near Sooke BC, just off the Galloping Goose Trail. (Km37) Surrounded by stunning beaches, pristine forest and coastal hikes, refreshing lakes and rivers, wildlife and natural beauty galore. A 30 minute drive from Victoria, or approximately 3 hour bike ride if you’re feeling adventurous.
