EV charger available for additional charge. The location is in south Nanaimo. We are a 15 minute drive from downtown and the Airport, 10 minutes from Duke Point and about 10 minutes from VIU. Nanaimo River Park is a short drive away. Cedar is 10 minutes away. There is transit near by with a walk from the bus stop.

Old City Quarter Miners Cottage

Private small one bedroom miners cottage in quite downtown neighborhood. Close to many amenities, VIU & hospital. Easy walk to the seawall, shopping and many restaurants. The cottage is set in a lovely garden with seating under the gazeboor under the grape arbor. Both hosts John and Marc are artists and have a small show room on the property that we a happy to open if our guests have a desire to see more of our art. Sorry we are unable to accept same day guests.

Spacious, peaceful 1250 sq ft. upper totally self contained suite. The crystal clear Nanaimo river at your doorstep. Spacious kitchen is ready for the family chef but if you don’t feel like cooking the neighborhood offers a variety of pubs and restaurants. Many trails close by for walking or jogging. A countryside retreat overlooking pastures with both wildlife and horses. Enjoy a relaxing getaway at Prancing Pony located on a 37 acres farm kitty-corner to Hemer Provincial Park. The geodome lodging includes a queen size bed, and 3 piece bathroom. There's a microwave, mini fridge, sink, and outside is a BBQ. There's a deck to lounge in the sun, a gazebo sun shelter, and a fire pit. In the evening, frogs serenade you from the nearby pond.
