There are a considerable amount of outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain biking and ATV trails. Our central location is an ideal base to explore the San Luis Valley.

This 1000sq ft cabin in the country with a very rural setting. It is quiet and relaxing, has a wood stove and is close to outdoor activities. Penitent Canyon, La Garita, hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, 4wheeling, ATV trails, snowmobiling, skiing (Wolf Creek is 50 min drive). It has a canal running by in the summer. We offer a Self-serve breakfast with home-made yogurt, home-made granola, home-made bread for toast, local grown organic eggs, (hot coffee, chocolate, tea) on request.

Enjoy a visit to The Great Sand Dunes, followed by relaxing at the Hooper Spa and Hot Springs an hour away. Located between Monte Vista and Del Norte. Quiet get awaly with clear skies for phenomenal star gazing. Wolf Creek Ski area famous for its snow conditions 34 miles. Fly fishing spots nearby.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Easy travel within an hour to the Great Sand Dunes, hot spring pools, hiking, off roading, skiing and hunting. Monte Vista Wildlife Refuge within 8 miles. Off street parking allows room for recreational vehicle parking as well. This cozy apartment of 500 sq ft is perfect for 2, but can accommodate 4 with the queen bedroom and the futon which makes into a queen size bed. No TV. Monte Vista is a small rural town.
