Perfect spot, with ever changing fantastic panoramic sea, city and distant mountain views. Great comms from Gabby before, during and post stay. Everything is as shown and described on Airbnb. Comfy bed and everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom for your stay, all perfectly clean and tidy. Lovely quiet spot tucked away in the hills (creating the amazing views), but only a short 5 min drive from all you need in Sumner, or 20 minute drive into Christchurch. We'd love to return on our next trip to NZ. Thanks Gabby.

We enjoyed staying here. It is so close to the city centre and all there is to offer. If you have a car you do need to look for a car park but if you don’t mind a walk it’s not really a problem.

Lovely place to stay, accomodating hosts with some great recommendations. Great location to get around the city, secure and super tidy! Had everything we needed and more, can’t recommend enough.

Beautiful, adaptable apartment. Fabulous for families. The hosts were very responsive when we found that the iron was not working ( we needed to quickly prep for a wedding) and they also gave us an ironing board ( which wasn’t initially present). We were very very grateful for their rapid action. The apartment was squeaky clean. In summer, one will need to open the windows on the upper floor to get a cross breeze.

The bedroom felt like a sanctuary – the bed was plush, linens were fresh, and the room was impeccably clean throughout my stay. What truly stood out was the peaceful atmosphere. The neighborhood remains quiet day and night, ensuring restful sleep. For travelers with a car, this location is ideal – parking was hassle-free (ample street parking available), and the area feels safe and residential while still being within driving distance to main attractions.

Francis is very helpful and responsive. The apartment is neat and tidy. There is free parking and escalator. Love the simple decoration :)

Linda’s place was a modern and warm oasis on what ended up being a very wet Easter weekend. Property was easy to find and provided off-street parking, suitable for a small to medium car. Nice to have an ensuite off each bedroom. Kitchen was well stocked.

Perfect location with all the amenities you need. Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed at. Would go back next time we are in town.

I had a wonderful stay at Olive’s place! The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Olive was a thoughtful and responsive host, making the check-in process smooth and easy. The location was great — close to everything I needed but still peaceful and quiet. I would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back in the future!

We've stayed at this apartment a few times now, handy walk to city centre and hagley park. lots of food options nearby. beautiful modern apartment with spacious bathrooms and bedrooms and really comfy beds. highly recommend

This place is great if you are looking to be near downtown but not right in the middle of everything. I stayed for several weeks, and they came to clean once a week, which was very nice. The only thing I would improve is having outdoor furniture. There are 2 outside areas but nowhere to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Otherwise everything was wonderful.

Perfect location if you want to walk to stores or restaurant instead of driving. House was better than expected in terms of design and vintage look. Checking in is hard initially but I would ask for instructions beforehand and then park at the front of the Heritage if you’re coming by car, then drop the bags and park the car. Parking is very tightly spaced so be aware if you’re coming with a van. On the left side of the main entrance, there is street parking and a parking garage that you can pay for.

Wow!This place was spectacular, the views really were something special.Bernard provided some great helpful info about local eats and walks from the house.He was friendly and helpful.The walking options from the house were fab, we did a beautiful walk heading up into the hills from the house. The big bed was super comfy and the layout and space was perfect.We loved the hot tub and views.The bathroom was lovely and had everything you need.The dual wardrobe storage space was so comfy and spacious.We loved sitting by the window enjoying the view and we felt that we had privacy. This place has all the main things absolutely right.Some minor considerations would elevate this place to an extraordinary luxury option-for example updating all kitchen appliances,extra spa towels,setting up the windows seat with cushions, some basic instructions for TV options and some local recommendations and maps. You’d be lucky to stay in this gorgeous spot overlooking Taylor’s Mistake. It’s incredibly peaceful. We had kids there and there was lots for them to do. From night time spa beneath the stars, to finding the moon on the telescope to climbing down to path to the beach’s thanks for our wonderful stay Julie and family.

Very comfortable place that has everything you need. We enjoyed our stay there and I can recommend it. It is though a bit far from the city center - you’ll definitely need a car.

Michael's property matched all descriptions perfectly. Communication had been great through check in all the way to check out. The property is located high up on Cashmere hills which unfortunately was out of scooter operating zone. You'll definitely need a car or Uber to get to the house. Overall, the property met our expectations and we had a comfortable stay.
