This was a great stay. I would love to come back and stay here again. The host was super responsive and picked us up and dropped us off at the train station. They gave us great recommendations for food and onsen.

Second House Otaru is a helpful and responsive host. The house is spacious and has the necessary amenities. It's also located near places of interest. Otaru is an interesting city, and we had an enjoyable time here. Thank you Second House for hosting us at Otaru! 😊

Photos don’t do justice to this place! The interior is really aesthetics and beautiful! Stayed in a group of 5 and feels that the accomodation is really spacious too, with lotsa of room for us to chat or have personal time.

Had to book the listing at the last minute due to some issues with my original booking with another listing. Host was very prompt in accepting and replying us on check in details. Very commendable. The listing is a huge house overlooking lake Toya, it is a very nice place. It was also very clean and well stock. 'downtown' is only a 10 mins drive away as well. The only drawback is the shower and toilet is at different levels which might make it inconvenient for people not used to Japanese bathrooms. Regardless, would recommend this to anyone who is looking to experience living in a lake house or need a big space for a large group.

Convenient location from the airport , comfortable space and friendly hosts

It was a wonderful stay. We stayed for a few nights, and the accommodation was beautifully maintained, warm, and very comfortable. There were also rooms on the second floor, so if we have the opportunity in the future, we would love to stay again with our friends and their families. The beds were low, which allowed us to let our child sleep safely and with peace of mind. The location was also very convenient, as it was easy to reach both New Chitose Airport and Sapporo by car. Looking at the map, it seems that Asahikawa and Furano are also within driving distance, which is wonderful. Seiko was very kind and provided excellent hospitality. Thank you very much for your warm and thoughtful service.

Reiko’s place was excellent being clean, quiet and a well equipped kitchen . We felt it was larger than the photos portrayed too. It is well situated for daily sightseeing, is cosy and private. Would not hesitate in recommending.

Very nice and cosy house! It's what we expected for a cheap price, the bathroom does not have heating but heater is available. The toilet does not have the heated seat either, but still manageable for the price. It's in a quiet neighborhood with a nice park nearby, but the alley could be covered in snow (since it's not a large road) so need to be careful if you're carrying a lot of luggages. Still, a very nice and well kept place! The host is very responsive too!

15 min walk from Odori/city center. Lots to do. Nice location on the river. We would stay here again.

The bnb is overall spacious and nice, only did we find some dirt and dust, especially the sofa. The facilities are a bit old, but they all worked pretty well. It's good enough with the price given!

日常を忘れて、心からリラックスできるすてきな時間をすごしました。 今回は夫婦ふたりでの旅。ふだんの生活や仕事のことを少しでも手ばなして、ゆっくりとすごすことが目的でした。出発前は、ちゃんと気持ちを切りかえられるかな？と少し心配もありましたが、この宿に着いて中に入った瞬間、その心配は消えました。 宿はとても清潔で広く、ほっとするような木のぬくもりを感じました。出かけて戻ってきたときは、自然と「ただいま」という言葉が出るような癒し空間でした。 観光の予定はあまり立てていませんでしたが、ホストのエリーゼさんがくださった情報と、宿にあったガイドブックのおかげで、近くの温泉にも行き、洞爺湖畔のジョギング、有珠山山頂からの美しい景色を楽しみました。 エリーゼさんとこのステキな宿のおかげで、本当にゆったりした心に残る時間が過ごせました。ありがとうございました。

Cloud 9 was a perfect Ski house for our group of eight. Plenty of room and well stocked amenities. An easy 5 min walk over Rusutsu resort for lift access and an amazing onsen. Young has to be one of the top hosts I’ve ever worked with. He is very responsive and provides information and access to local restaurants and activities. He offered to pick us up and drop us off at the airport, but we already had shuttle arrangements. Will definitely use him next time we stay at Cloud9.

Awesome place to stay for a group ski trip! The house is way bigger than we expected with plenty of space to sleep 7 people in individual beds. Very clean and very responsive host. Would come back to stay again!! Be aware there is an additional tax required prior to checkout that isn’t included in the price.

It was a great staying, must visit next time!
