We loved the house and the amenities. The kids loved the pool and the lake. Host was very nice and offered a list of places to eat and things to do during our stay. Would definitely return and recommend.

We had an awesome time at Marks Place. This is our first time to visit Hyco lake and can’t wait to return. This house is absolutely stunning and so comfortable. Most of our family never left the house for the entire week. The lake and pool was beautiful. We could not believe how peaceful the location is and the surrounding areas. We were the only people in our cove for the entire week. We can’t wait to rent this place again, thanks for sharing your home with us

Perfect get-away for relaxing family vacation and making childhood memories. Plenty of space for kids to roam and stay entertained. Kids are already asking to go back for another crack at a bass that got away! Host was very responsive and helpful. House was clean and everything in great working order. Big front yard was a great surprise for the dog to run and a heated wiffleball tournament. S'mores over the fire pit was the perfect way to end every evening.

Family had fun we relaxed for-sure. Nice boat dock great value. The boat lift held my 21 foot Carolina skiff very well. Enjoy the fact that the house is in a cove off the main lake. The out door cooking setup was legit. Great 6 day stay would do it again. Parking was excellent.

Our stay at this lake house was absolutely incredible! The home matched the photos perfectly and was in impeccable condition. We had multiple families with several kids, and the layout was ideal for giving everyone space while still feeling connected. We loved cooking and sharing meals both inside and out on the spacious deck. The dock area was a highlight — whether we were lounging on the second level or helping the kids fish from the lower level, it was peaceful, safe, and offered breathtaking views in every direction. We brought our boat and had no issues docking it in the available bay, and the kids had a blast using the paddle boards and kayaks provided. This home truly felt like a dream — like stepping into an award-winning magazine spread, but with all the comfort and warmth of home. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a beautiful, family-friendly getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Lake Gaston is a stunning lake with beautiful water, peaceful scenery, and quiet serenity. Being able to stay at a place like this with all new renovated furniture, appliances and more makes everything feel even more peaceful and perfect. Everything was very clean, kayaks were in a good condition, the games provided were fun, though the foosball/pool table was a bit small and shakey. The kitchen was really nice and everything we needed to cook was there. Laura was a great host and very responsive and kind. Absolutely would recommend, we are definitely thinking about coming back!

Great house with nice backyard! The fenced in yard was really great for our young kids and they really enjoyed the playground. The location was a little bit iffy, but we were actually in town for a dance competition that was 30 miles away and because of booking last minute, there was nothing closer that met our expectations. The downtown area is really small, but super cute!

Beautiful and clean home! Amazing views! We hosted our teen retreat and we all had a ball! From the grill to the fire pit, secluded basement, and breathtaking sunroom, it was amazing! Our girls had a blast! We would definitely book again!

We use this for our pastors annual retreat and it provided plenty of room for them to gather and also spaces for them to find solitude when necessary and also provide a great community space outside which they really enjoyed

We chose this home because we had family coming from Va and NC and it was very close off I-85. The home is beautiful, spacious and the dock area was plenty big enough for our group of 10, including a handful of teens. We spent ALL of our time down there fishing, paddle boarding and enjoying time together. We caught fish and even a turtle! No one was ever bored! We made all of our meals in the big kitchen and had plenty of room. We will definitely be back

I lived in this lake house for 5 months and was very very pleased with all aspects of my stay. Book with confidence.

It’s difficult to put into words how incredible our stay was. We had two boys with us (6 & 10) and our 11 year old pup. Mike went above and beyond in accommodating us the entire stay. We would like to return to Mike’s lake house every year and make it a summer tradition while the kids are still young. The boat house/dock area is where we spent the majority of our time. It was huge with plenty of place to relax. The photos simply do not do the space justice. Mike had tubes and floats available for use and a sound system down by the dock. Playing music (at a respectful volume) made our stay so much more enjoyable. The depth off the dock was 10ft, which made diving into the water so much more fun, without having to worry about a mucky lake floor. The kitchen is new, as are the appliances. It does lake a dishwasher, but Mike had everything we needed to clean/dry the dishes before we departed. What a trip! We hope to be back next year if it’s still available.

This area was really cute. The house was very well equipped, lots of additional items that made the stay pleasurable. The house and amenities appear fairly new and in great shape.

We absolutely loved Brian and Michele‘s place. The location was perfect – so close to the winery and so close to the lake. We were up here for a family gathering over Easter weekend and the entire setting really helped us achieve our Easter goals of being with family and having fun. We would definitely come back again.

The house is awesome better than the pics!!! My parents are in their 80s and where very comfortable. Mike and Bobby were great. Responsive and friendly. I will definatey reach out to them the next time I'm in Warrenton. Thank you guys for openinf your beautiful home.

This place was a home away from home and just what my family and I needed. I wish I had more time to really enjoy the country living, especially being a country girl myself. We’ve found our home away from home when we’re visiting the area!

Mark was an awesome host and the place was phenomenal. We are a group of Fishermen / Outdoorsmen that live in the City, so it was great getting away from the hustle and bustle of constant car and noise. It gave us a chance to chill and take in the star lit sky and peaceful sounds of Gods creations. It was a short 26 minutes every morning to Nutbush boat landing. We will certainly be back.

We enjoyed our stay at Michelle’s place. When I met her at arrival she was the sweetest. The place was nice clean and spacious. We had more than enough room. It’s was worth every single dollar that I spent.

A very quaint, peaceful lakeside retreat. We enjoyed staying here while visiting family in the area. Thank you for hosting us-we had a wonderful time! We especially enjoyed: - kitchen - private road for a 2 mile run - great view of the lake - morning sun in the living room is gorgeous this time of year (Fall)

VERY clean and peaceful. I felt right at home. I can't say ONE negative thing our my experience it was ABSOLUTELY perfect 👌🏾 ❤️. No WIFI, but it forced us to sit up and talk all night. I traveled with my 3 friends for my 37th Bday and had a blast. 90s vs 2000s event at the winery 🍷

This place is amazing!! I wanted a place to take my family, and extended family, for Thanksgiving, and Debra & Jim's home did not disappoint. We had 14 people and had room for more. The sheer size gave us room to spread out, whether downstairs in the game room, upstairs in the kitchen, or out back in the hot tub or by the fireplace. If you have a family that likes to cook, you can't ask for a better space to cook a giant meal. During my stay I kept in contact with Jim throughout the week with questions and he responded in minutes. Every morning we had the most amazing views of the lake from the family room and we enjoyed the porches overlooking the lake. A bonus was that my brother-in-law was able to catch some catfish from the dock which provided some great relaxation. If you have a large family and want room to spread out, I'm not sure there is a better place on Lake Gaston. Thanks Debra & Jim opening your home for others to enjoy.
