The Guest House

WE DO NOT HAVE CABLE TV. UP A FLIGHT of STAIRS is a spacious apartment next to The Historic Masonic Theatre in the center of town. The building is built above Smith Creek and the comforting sound will lull you to sleep. The mattresses are comfy pillow tops and we have plenty of seating. You will be within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Unfortunately this listing is not handicapped accessible due to the stairs and if you have any allergies be aware we allow guests to have dogs.

Unique & Cozy Gypsy Wagon on The Cowpasture River

Feel refreshed when you stay in this rustic gem. The Gypsy Rose is situated near the beautiful Cow Pasture River. With stunning views that can even be seen from your bed. Take a stroll to the river, or up the driveway to see the animals. Enjoy your coffee at the fire ring while you take in the mountain views or sit inside. There is a kitchen area, with basic dishes and pans for cooking, with a stove inside that converts to a heater and a small sink. The 1/2 bath is the outhouse located near by.

Our yurt at Stillhouse Farm offers a private setting. Less than 5 miles from W&L+VMI. The spring fed creek can be heard from the deck along with owls, turkey, and other wildlife. Plenty of outdoor space on the deck, outdoor fireplace, and under pavilion. The high speed internet makes for an ideal getaway where you can still work, if necessary. Our home has recently been completely remodeled and furnished to accommodate 8 people, with four bedrooms and two baths.

Go for a walk or bike ride on the 28 plus acres or pretty rural lanes. 2.5 miles away is Lake Robertson for activities . Sit on the porch too! On a snowy night, enjoy the wd-burning fireplace . Multiple outdoor areas to enjoy the sights and sounds of the creek include the back porch, observation deck with Adirondack chairs, and walking path that leads to a stunning view of the Potts Creek “Sinks.” Enjoy the tranquil natural environment as you make use of the outdoor grill, picnic area, fire pit, and hot tub.
