Delightfully Cozy Historic Post Office/Guesthouse

Estelene was established in 1910 and served as a community center and post office for rural people of southwest Baca County until 1927. Estelene was named after Estelene Collins, the lady who operated the post office on the Collins Ranch where it was located. Estelene was also a teacher at the local schoolhouse for a time. The story goes that after she got older and unable to climb the hill to the original post office, she asked the community to build her a post office closer to the house.

The "Bunkhouse"

Leave your cares behind and stay at the rustic "bunkhouse" with the comforts of home, nestled in the tall pines. The bunkhouse is attached to a barn on our 65 acre ranch adjacent to BLM National Forest with access to hiking trails.
