This custom timber frame chalet has been rebuilt from the ashes of the old chalet that was originally built in the 80's. Basecamp Chalet gives guests the opportunity to gaze over Strathcona Park, watch the sunrises, sunsets, and moonscapes, and have a the perfect spot to experience storm watching and the snow flakes fall. Separate outhouse with hot shower. Rural location near easy walking trails, bird watching , biking and swimming. Excellent location for writers, artists and nature lovers. Non smoking only! Not suitable for children under 12, or anyone with limited mobility.

Gorgeous ocean view from inside or on the large sunny deck. The view stretches across the water to Hornby and Denman islands. Watch the sun rise, the wind tossing the waves ashore or walk across the road to the beach. It is a nice swimming beach.Lots of wildlife, birds, seals, sea lions, otters and if you get lucky you might see whales. This carriage house has lots of character and is a clean simple, cozy space for a get away.
