Craigiehall Temple (historic property built 1759)

Built in 1759 and situated in its own grounds on a former part of the Craigiehall Estate, it's Grade A listed for its stunning portico displaying the arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale. A plaque on the wall carries a quote from Horace: "Dum Iicet in rebus jucundis vive beatus", "Live happy while you can among joyful things". It has a large, enclosed garden with private driveway & spectacular views of the hills & surrounding farmland. It is the perfect location to enjoy outdoor pursuits or explore Edinburgh & central Scotland, with most major attractions less than an hour away. 2 Nights minimum stay. Sorry no pets.

Nestled in our lovely walled garden and situated in the beautiful heritage quarter of our ancient capital Dunfermline, is the Garden Townhouse. Recently refurbished to a luxury and cosy standard, this home from home makes a great base to explore the Kingdom of Fife, Edinburgh, Glasgow and more and placed to access to the Fife Pilgrim Way. Our Townhouse was commissioned in 1875 by local legend and world-famous, Andrew Carnegie and has been stylishly converted into a bright and modern home.

Compact, warm, cosy house in a quiet residential area overlooking a small park. The house is simply and stylishly furnished. There is a small garden where you can enjoy eating out in warmer weather. In spring and summer the garden is filled with herbs and flowers. You'll usually find a few books in the hall and you're welcome to take any you like the look of. Easy access by rail and road to Edinburgh, Glasgow, and central and southern Scotland. 15 minutes drive to Edinburgh airport.
