Accesul este foarte bun, drum asfaltat, pe strada către Cheile Dambovicioarei. Încălzirea se realizează cu centrală termică pe gaze. Străjerii Verzi este un loc ce oferă liniște cu tot confortul pe care ni l-am dori oricare din noi. Aerul tare de munte te îmbie la multă odihnă, dar există și o multitudine de activități căutate în zonă și anume drumeții montane pe Piatra Craiului, plimbări pe multele trasee de bicicletă marcate, călăritul dar și degustări de brânzeturi tradiționale, în special brînza de burduf specifică stânelor de munte, și de preparate din carne, îndeosebi carnea în untură la borcan.
