Double Loft Lodge

Nestled along the Mississinewa River near James Dean's hometown, Taylor Univ and Indiana Wesleyan Univ, we were originally named Harrisburg, until the natural gas boom of the 1800s. The town was renamed Gas City boasting to grow to a pop of 50 thous, but sadly the gas wells dried up. Visit the Gas City museum at 210 South A St opened 1-4 sat&sun, relax at Beaner Linn Park 701 S Broadway or visit one of our shops. The Rebel Lodge is a fully restored historic brick building located in the heart of James Dean's hometown. lt is right across the street from the James Dean Museum, just around the corner from Main street, and only blocks from The James Dean Gallery. The building will sleep 4-5 with a comfy double bed, a pull out sofa and an additional sofa. It is decorated with fun mid century furniture and decor. Everything is freshly up to date with new furnace, & air conditioning. Please enjoy your stay!

Come enjoy the wide open country space in our quiet and peaceful guesthouse. Although you will be surrounded by solitude you will be just minutes from several towns. Enjoy the quiet of the surrounding fields and woods along with the beauty of the pond year round. The guesthouse is attached to our home but the garage is in between the two so it is very quiet for everyone. You will have your own private entrance.
