From the moment we arrived, Nigel made us feel completely at home. The house was immaculate and had absolutely everything we needed – from essentials to a variety of thoughtful food options to choose from. It truly felt like a home away from home in Hawker. What sets Nigel apart is his genuine care and passion for hosting. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing short of amazing. It’s rare to meet someone who loves what they do so much – and it shows in every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Nigel – we’ll definitely be back!

Windee Hill is stunning in every respect. A perfect location for the Flinders Ranges, yet you will be reluctant to leave the homestead which is rich in history and character. Evelyn has taken enormous care in styling and furnishing the house, and the kitchen has everything you will ever need. A stroll around the property gives you a sense of just what a demanding life the early settlers had; and the folder containing the family history adds real depth to that story. It's worth the trip just to stay in the homestead - fantastic.

What a fantastic and well appointed place in a location ideal for exploring Flinders Ranges. Nigel is a friendly and communicative host who clearly loves what he does. So many great details in his home made for a wonderful experience - the fresh bread ready and waiting for us, the well stocked pantry and fridge, clear instructions for using all the appliances, and so many recommendations on how best to spend our time there. Can’t recommend Nigel enough for anyone looking to explore a really special part of the world.

We were looking for solitude & simplicity and we got it in spades. Easy interaction with Kelly, easy close by walks, civilisation and the internet (for those that need it) a short drive away and the big ole baths in the deck… magnificent!

Auf unserer Reise durch die Flinders Ranges haben wir eine Nacht in der Cabin von Michelle verbracht. Besonders gefallen hat uns: • die authentische Lage auf einer Station abseits der Touristenströme, trotzdem ausgesprochen günstig zur Erkundung der Gegend um Wilpena Pound. • sehr ansprechende Umgebung • absolute Privatsphäre • Sonnenaufgangs-/untergangsspot in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar • Cabin mit guter Raumaufteilung und gemütlicher Einrichtung • Große Veranda mit schöner Aussicht • Autounterstellplatz unter einem Schattendach • Nicht weit entfernt gibt es zusätzlich eine große Camperküche mit WLAN Empfang Michelle ist eine super nette Gastgeberin, die uns mit ihren tollen Tipps zur Erkundung der Gegend sehr geholfen und unseren Aufenthalt zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht hat. Schade, dass wir nur eine Nacht bleiben konnten

Gorgeous place to stay with lovely staff as a bonus. Check in was seamless, communication with Michelle was fantastic. We visited in summer but will definitely be going back in the winter months to enjoy the surroundings around the camp fire.

Amazing place to get away from it all but with every home comfort you could wish for (including fantastic wood fired pizzas!) Big night skies, felt like we were on a movie set! Thankyou for sharing your home with us 😊👍
