The She Shed

This cozy rustic cabin definitely has its charm, and is fondly known as "The She Shed". It has a quiet front porch for relaxing after your day of exploring the area, and a private picnic area and firepit. Lots of hiking trails nearby, river rafting, new Valemount bike park, horseback tours, and interesting locals. Your host is friendly and knowledgeable of this special place. No Wi-Fi available. Outhouse only. Cold running water in the cabin. Shower is outside in the greenhouse. Limited power.

Mountain Cabin on McKirdy Creek Farm in Valemount

Enjoy the feeling of backwoods seclusion in our cozy, rustic mountain cabin. Only a 500m walk from the farmhouse, this private cabin is nestled at the edge of the forest overlooking the fields of the Canoe Valley. It backs onto the Rocky Mountains and has views of the Monashee and Caribou Mountain ranges. This is a walk-in cabin, so you will need to be prepared to carry what you need in. Kitchen supplies and bedding are provided. There is no running water and the bathroom is a pit toilet.

Homestead 1912 - modern, bright, peaceful

Whatever brings you, a peaceful solo retreat or couples get away, this historic tiny home is setup to satisfy, gas fireplace, windows that open & screen door. Modernized in 2020 with full bathroom and kitchenette, it’s a vast change from when my Grandfather built it for shelter from the harsh prairie winters. The logs were harvested over 100 years ago in the Saddlehills and brought to this working family grain farm. Now it’s all play & relax!

You could also take a short walk to the corner store at the end of the block or continue a little further for an evening stroll around beautiful Crystal Lake walking trails. In the spacious backyard you can relax with a drink on the deck or around the firepit. For those with children there is a small park just through the back gate.

Minutes away to most of Prince George amenities including the hospital and College and is located in a quiet neighborhood. we are pet friendly and charge $10 per night for each pet.
