Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Winding through a Madrona forest hillside on the coveted Westside of San Juan Island, Haro Sunset House greets you with sweeping views from Vancouver Island to Salt Spring Island to the North. Sited on 5 Acres this cute as a button, built in 1978 and lovingly remodeled in 2022, beach-inspired cottage offers the perfect privacy for an island recharge. Cottage is only 7 minutes from downtown Friday Harbor, South Beach, or Lime Kiln Whale Watch Park. Enjoy end-of-the-road privacy with your host on the acreage to ensure your stay is perfect.

Windance Cottage

Northwewst contemporary designed guest house. Lots of sunlight and great views of the Straights, Mountains and an abundance of sea life, eagles, deer, fox, and other wildlife. Private tennis court with basketball hoops. Private cove to launch your kayak or just some great tide pooling. Note; Owners home is on the property. The cottage sets back approximately a football field away from the main house, affording it’s own privacy. Owners are normally always on property.

DenPNW is a recently curated space that will indulge your desire for beauty and romance. A modern design with tile and wood walls and free standing stove. The studio has a comfortable king sized bed, built in office space and full kitchen with island. Shared sauna included. The studio is adjacent to another unit and owners live upstairs. You may hear faint noises from shared living and light footsteps upstairs. This space is not suitable for children or infants

This property is within walking distance of Mt. Grant and close to both Mt. Young and British Camp.

About two miles from the airport, Three miles from Friday Harbor center, parks, nightlife, and public transport. You’ll love our place because of the proximity to the golf course, close to Town, the coziness, quiet and rural location, and the friendly people. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers or attending weddings.
