Welcome to Hooks and Honkers Hideout - your cozy riverside retreat tucked along the beautiful Mississippi River. This 2-bedroom getaway is perfect for couples or small groups looking to unwind, cast a line, or gear up for a duck hunt. Wake up to misty mornings, sip coffee with bluff views, and spend your day fishing the legendary waters or exploring the surrounding wild. After the hunt or a day on the river, come back to a warm and peaceful space where you can relax, recharge, and reconnect!

The Bridge View Studio

Perfect getaway and a perfect location to get to know Elkader with it’s coffee shops, antique mall, shops, opera house and beautiful Turkey River. Property was homesteaded in 1841 and sits directly across from the courthouse and looks over the famous Keystone Bridge and downtown. Come stay awhile. ***NOTE: Because we are located across from the court house the clock tower bells can be heard from our location. Main part of the house is our residence, Airb&b has separate entrance on the side.

With your stay you will have 4 full bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, laundry, a full kitchen with a dishwasher, the Great Room, gas fireplace, two dining areas, and large outside deck space, which includes a gas grill, to enjoy the starry nights and beautiful views. The Mink Creek Lodge has miles of maintained trails, a fire ring with fire wood, and the Mink Creek is a stocked trout stream. The host and hostess live in the walk out basement. No areas or entrances are shared with the guest.

3 bedroom 2 bath 1500 sq ft home located on acre st overlooking the town and river. 1 king, 1 queen, 2 twin beds. Sitting on an acre there’s plenty of parking yard space and privacy. All three bedrooms are located upstairs with beautiful views of the river,dam and town. Each bedroom has its own separate ac/heating controls to adjust to the perfect sleeping temperature. Lots of outdoor seating and firepit! Simpson Arcade upstairs and golden tee on the main floor! Plenty of privacy!

Our little spot is right on the mighty Mississippi river, a beautiful spot to relax, fish, bird watch including eagles! We feature a large deck facing the water to enjoy morning coffee or an evening cocktail to watch sunsets. The Penthouse is on the 3rd floor of 308 S. River Park Dr., across from Guttenberg's Lock & Dam #10. Enjoy River Side Park across the street, walking trails along the Great Mississippi River, rolling hills, open highways, outdoor recreational opportunities. Such as; boating, ice- fishing, eagle watching, hiking trails throughout North East Iowa; Pikes Peak Sate Park located in McGregor, Iowa~27 miles from Guttenberg, Effigy Mounds National Monument about 2 miles from McGregor.

Cushion Cabins East

Very private, secluded and relaxing spot within 30 yards of walking or biking trail. Enjoy wildlife, plenty of deer and eagles to watch off the large open front porch. Fire pits for each cabin with firewood provided. Grill provided in front yard. Two private bedrooms with a queen bed in each. Kitchen included microwave, 2-burner stove and full size refrigerator. Coffee make and toaster also provided. River for canoeing and kayaking within walking distance.

Enjoy the fire pit and feel to walk around the grounds. Close to The Field of Dreams, Mississippi and Maquoketa Rivers. Also, close to Jones and Delaware county fair grounds. You’ll also find that Farley Speedway and Tristate Raceway are minutes away. Nature awaits!!
