A bright and airy converted former blacksmiths adjacent to our house with wood burner, bedroom with king sized bed, a mezzanine bedroom with sofa bed (accessed via steep steps so not suitable for infants or elderly), open plan living room and kitchenette and bathroom (with shower). Kids and pets welcome. We welcome groups of up to 6 BUT RECOMMEND NO MORE THAN 4 ADULTS for max comfort. 150 yds from the Red Lion known for its real ales and within easy walking distance of the thatched Half Moon

Two well behaved dogs allowed by prior arrangement (£10/dog). Village pub and award winning pub in adjacent village of Hawkedon. Beautiful local walks and bike rides. Close to Clare, Long Melford, Bury St. Edmunds, Lavenham and Sudbury. 20 mins to Newmarket, easy access to Cambridge and 2 hrs from central London.

A quiet and comfortable chalet, with gas central heating and everything needed for a relaxing stay. With excellent WiFi and off-road parking, and in the heart of Suffolk. A 7.5 Kw EV charging point is available, with costs based on usage and electricity cost. In the pleasant village of Great Waldingfield, with a pub, village shop, and close to Sudbury (3 miles), Lavenham (4 miles), Bury St. Edmunds(16 miles). We live next door so are happy to help with directions and what to do in the area.

It's situated inside our large private gated garden(no steps) Guests can relax with a drink on the patio whilst taking in the amazing garden and spectacular woodland setting. Lovely country walks. Wonderful Autumn colours. The village has 2 pubs, tea room and 3 all weather tennis courts. A small child's bed can be made available(small extra nightly cost). We are dog friendly. Set 6km from Hedingham Castle, 22 km from Freeport Shopping Village, 10km from Sudbury market town and 37km from Colchester, Britain’s Roman capital. Spend the day exploring the local area or soak up the peaceful setting. Dogs are welcome at this property. Guests at the holiday home can enjoy cycling, walks, explore the local area or make the most of the garden. Sudbury Train Station is 10 km from the property. The nearest airport is London Stansted Airport, 49 km from the accommodation.

Rural cartlodge on a family run arable farm

A cosy cottage on a small working family farm near the Essex/Suffolk border. Within walking distance of the beautiful village of Castle Hedingham. It is the perfect base for exploring the countryside, enjoying the wildlife, visiting the local venues or the historic villages of Finchingfield, Thaxted, Lavenham and Long Melford, which are all within a 30-minute drive. Alternatively, there is boating on the nearby river Stour, or just enjoying a drink at one of the country pubs along its route.

Situated on the edge of the pretty medieval cloth town of Long Melford, the barn combines modern comfort with an impressive historical pedigree. It sits adjacent to The Old Cottage, a charmingly wonky Tudor house, dating back to the 1430s, occupied by hosts Janine and Richard. There are plenty of beautiful walks and fascinating places to visit nearby, including medieval Lavenham, the old market town of Sudbury with is fabulous Gainsborough museum, and Bury St Edmunds and its fine Abbey.

We make a dreamy spacious space for romantic couples - or the perfect crash pad for up to 4 guests wishing to bunk up for the night - perfect for wedding guests). Dogs welcome but the pet fee is charged for extra cleaning.

Self Contained Studio in Wivenhoe

Tuck away next to the Wivenhoe woods (upper Wivenhoe), this lovely self-contained studio flat provides comfortable accommodation throughout. The studio is on a cul-de-sac, with its own entrance. It is just a short walk to the University of Essex via Wivenhoe Public pathway. The the train station is also only 15 minute walk away through the Wivenhoe trail. Ideal for 1-2 guests, but a baby or small chid is welcome (providing that you bring your own travel cot & bedding with you).

The cottage is perfectly located near the town centre and surrounded by footpaths and beautiful ancient water meadows. A lovely place to rest and recharge. Sudbury area is very dog friendly and you can enjoy most pubs and restaurants with your pooch. We are close to historical towns of Long melford and Lavenham. 10 minute walk to town and shops 15 minute walk to bus and train station 1-2 minute walk to restaurants 1-2 minute walk to meadows and footpaths
