Fontana Lake Cottage: waterfront cozy getaway!

Relax with the family at our beautiful cottage on Fontana Lake! You'll love sitting on our deck overlooking the lake, and walking down to the water's edge to go for a swim or launch one of our kayaks. This peaceful cottage features a full kitchen, washer & dryer, a huge stone fireplace, air conditioners, an outdoor shower, and a gorgeous view of the water. Pets are welcome with a $25 fee. Very close to Tsali Recreation Center, Cherokee, and Nantahala Outdoor Center. Come on out to relax & play.

Otter Creek School Farm

Enjoy our 50-acre paradise in the Nantahala Forest. The cottage, a modular home, overlooks our horse pastures and Otter Creek. Enjoy 4 miles of forested trails, 3,000 feet along Otter Creek, a historic barn, wildlife, and native plants. The rhythm is set by the horses, the flow of the creek and the ever-changing view of nature around you. We're near mountain and river adventures, and 20 - 45 minutes from tourist towns. We are not a fancy mountain cabin but you'll be amazed by the destination.

The Bothy - 28 acre private retreat

This custom designed, modern cabin is made for connecting with nature in comfort. The cabin sits by itself on 28 private acres with meadows, forest, a small creek, and trails. You have privacy and space to wander and are still just 15 minutes to town, 10 minutes to Lake Santeetlah, and 1 mile off the Cherohala Skyway. A Bothy is a Scottish term for a small simple farm building that travelers can shelter in. The cabin and land are a perfect place to relax in the Appalachian mountains.

A wash area with a hose is available for vehicles, and your group will love spending time in the game room complete with a pool table and poker table.

Relax, fish, swim, boat, hike - this is the place! Our cabin is great for a couple or couple with one child to relax and unwind. PLEASE NOTE - LIMITED OCCUPANCY. There is a canoe and 2 kayaks. The water at our dock is very deep and will allow almost any size boat to be docked there.

Tail of the Dragon is nearby & an easy drive for heavy bikes. Sit back next to the fire pit and watch the fish jump in the cove or take the kayaks out on the lake!

Our tiny cabin is the perfect romantic setting for your Smoky Mountain getaway. The kitchen is fully equipped and Starlink internet provides a reliable connection for remote work. Take our canoe out for a trip around the lake, then relax in your own private hot tub under the stars after a long day of exploring.
