Please note: Bathroom is open to the bedroom. I live in a little cottage next to the house so will be around 😎 Animals have the right of way here! SPEED LIMIT IS 30KM/H. Please be vigilant of little animals in the road! Bushbabies live in the house and have right of way ☝🏼 Even with all their little poopies!

Relax in the pool with a cocktail to the sounds of the bush, and slow down in style.

Penzhorn Rest Cottage

This modern two-sleeper cottage is nestled in the heart of the bush along the Olifants River just 25km outside Hoedspruit. This "Peace" of Africa brings tranquillity with the soothing river and daily presence of various buck, birds and occasional sightings of hippo's and crocodile. Enjoy the custom-built "Bos Bad" to cool down or heat up (with a coal stove) overlooking a stunning river view, uninterrupted bush, beautiful sunsets, a starlit sky and the Milky Way at night. Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Our two story home has a style all of it's own. A wonderful 2 bedroom property that exudes charm and character. Beautifully decorated with lots of outside entertaining space and a small welcoming splash pool. This property can be rented in conjunction with Palgolin's Rest which is right next door, giving 5 bedrooms in total for up to 10 guests. The property is located within the secure Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate where animals roam freely.
