Hands down the best appointed Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Absolutely gorgeous surroundings. Fantastic, proactive communication. Clear instructions. Would recommend to anyone. We stayed for the Grayson Highlands trail runs and were really pleased with all the place had to offer as we were resting after our long trail races. It took us less than 35 minutes to get to the start on race mornings, and there were restaurants nearby to feed us when we were done. Very comfortable beds with lots of pillows — and I like to sleep with 4! We will certainly rebook here if we run the same race next year.

We had a very wonderful and relaxing time here! Very quiet! Excellent breakfast!! Very cozy and quaint!

This is our third year staying at the farm, and as always, we loved it! The new owners are working hard to do some updates while maintaining a lot of the rustic, albeit luxurious, charm the farm has always had. Loads of spring birds on the farm. The area was hit hard by the storm last year, but as the signs in Lansing say, Lansing is strong and is rebuilding! The General Store in Lansing is up and running and well-worth continued patronage for coffee, snacks, and local goods. The upper part of the Creeper Trail will not be open for a while, but the ride from Abingdon to Damascus was just beautiful (we highly recommend the Bike Station in Damascus for a shuttle!). Nearby Grayson Highlands is beautiful as always and well worth a few days for hiking. The cabins themselves remain in great shape with possible new accommodations in the future. A little slice of heaven!

The house is beautiful and the fenced in side yard was absolutely amazing! Walking out on the back porch from my bedroom and hearing the water and feeling the crisp morning air was so awesome! The front door is right at the road so be cautious of small children or pets! The house could use a good deep cleaning! And the upstairs is a bit creepy! LOL! But still a wonderful place to stay! The host always answered my questions quickly! We really enjoyed ourselves! And would love to stay again!

This place was absolutely amazing! We had a wonderful time and the will definitely be coming back! The cabin was cozy and the view was breathtaking. The host was kind and very accommodating. The views, hiking, hot tub, and the lack of cell phone service made this trip and a wonderful way to disconnect from daily life to spend quality time with each other and relax. All around this is the best experience I’ve had with Air BnB and 100 percent recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful getaway

Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. We enjoyed the screened in porch during the rain and I enjoyed what I called the yoga/meditation deck. We loved waking up to the 180-degree view of the treetops out the large casement windows in the bedroom. It was a peaceful and private retreat from a busy life. It is only a 20-minute drive to the Fries trail head for the New River Trail. which we enjoyed biking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage in the trees. Other things we appreciated were the 3:00 pm check-in and the 11:00 am check-out and all of the great lighting options. If you are a reader, there is good lighting for reading. We look forward to returning to this cottage. I think it is a great cottage for a couple's retreat.

This was our second stay, and it was just as good as the last! The home is perfect for a large family gathering. We especially enjoy the outdoor fireplace and wrap around porches.

Ryan’s was just as described. It was cozy, very clean and had the basic foods( coffee, tea, sugar,condiment's etc). Kitchen was well equipped as were the bathrooms. For me the best part, was the views from the deck, the complete silence except for the sounds of nature, and the sun rises. The bird song first thing in the morning will enthrall you. In the evening the sound of the cattle lowing is very calming. The deer will pass through every now and then. For nature lovers it is a paradise. If you are looking for an urban setting this is not your place. If you are looking for tranquility, this a great place. Bring a good book, your favorite food and drink and enjoy

The cabin is awesome, very well equipped and comfortable. We were 11 and 2 dogs and we had a beautiful time for Christmas and New years. Michelle is absolutely a great host, very flexible with check-in and check-out times and responded quickly and very nicely at all times. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a peaceful and great quality time. We had 5 teenagers and they absolutely loved being there watching movies and playing board games.

We spent Thanksgiving at this cabin! The kitchen had everything we needed and more! The beds and bedding were very comfortable. We even went online and ordered the same pillows, sheets, and blanket! We set the scene by lighting the electric fireplace, had a glass of wine, and started a puzzle the house provided. Family enjoyed the back deck and fire pit area. We look forward to staying here again!

Steve provided very clear instructions and information to access the house and wifi. The house included everything needed for cooking, sleeping, showering, and to be comfortable. The location was great for us since it is close to many great hiking trails and places for fly fishing. Many brochures and guides for local towns and activities were provided. Steve was very responsive with text messages prior to arrival and when we were preparing to leave. Overall, Steve is an excellent host.

Great place for a long weekend in Galax. We were in town for a concert at the Rex Theater and spent a few extra days. Far enough out of town to feel peaceful but close enough for the convenience of restaurants and shopping. Craig was super responsive and gave clear check in and check out instructions. Overall a great stay!

I brought my two dogs and we had a very nice stay. The home is very close to Grayson Highlands State Park, so we were able to do some hiking. I loved the king sized bed. It was very comfortable and it was nice to not have the dogs take up the entire bed. I only wish I had waited until winter so I could have taken advantage of the wood stove and all the firewood!

Excelente lugar, acogedora, llena de lindos detalles. Sumamente hermoso. Tiene de todo lo necesario para pasar una estadia relajante y alejada del bullicio de la ciudad. Super equipada. Claudia fue super amable y nos dio buenas recomendaciones. Inclusive estuvo dispuesta ha resolvernos una situación el mismo 31 de diciembre. Se mantuvo atenta de nosotros y contestontodas nuestras dudas auper rapido. Hasta nos dejo detalles de bienvenida (botella de vino local, muy bueno). El pueblo en los alrededores Sparta, a 18 minutos de la cabaña, no tiene mucho para hacer. Pero cumplimos nuestro propósito de ver nieve en el lugar que Claudia nos recomendo, aunque era como a hora y media de la cabaña.

Great location to Grayson Highlands. Peaceful Holler is easy to find, well stocked with what everything you need and is a lovely place to stay.

Darin’s family cabin was just as described. It is a quaint, well loved, and beautiful cabin. We felt right at home when we arrived and enjoyed the peace and quiet for a few days. The cabin is stocked with everything you may need and then some (they thought through all the details!). You definitely need a more capable car to get to the cabin, but the bumpy road is well worth the views once you arrive! We will be excited to visit again! Thank you Darin!

Our long weekend spent at the cabin and around the area was spectacular! The cabin had everything we needed & the wifi worked no problem. We walked the river & fished, spent lots of time out on the deck. We would love to stay at the Cabin again! Definitely a special place.

We had a fantastic stay at Serenity Cabin! The cabin was comfortable, clean, and exactly as pictured. Our host Debbie was a pleasure to communicate with and even offered to update the cabin's decor for the holidays ahead of our arrival.

This was the perfect place for our shirt fishing getaway. Even with parts of 58 still closed, it was an easy drive to Damascus. The attention to detail is excellent—outlets, AC/Heat, bathroom and kitchen, screened in front porch. Everything was spotless inside and out. We will definitely be back.

Can rate cabin in one word,"Wow!".. Beautiful cabin. Beautiful view. Friendly Donkeys. Restful. Mountain views! Can do outside activities. We enjoyed sitting on porch and the porch swing. We will definitely stay again!

Our stay at this cabin in the North Carolina mountains exceeded all expectations. It offered the perfect combination of adventure and relaxation, with plenty of outdoor activities and a comfortable, peaceful place to retreat to at the end of the day. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway, a family vacation, or a solo retreat to reconnect with nature, this cabin is an excellent choice. I can’t wait to return! Our family loved the cabin. It is easy to find, had a well stocked kitchen with many appliances, minimal stairs, and fun games in the basement. We will certainly consider coming back during our next stay in North Carolina.

Wow, what a beautiful spot on a mountain this house sits on! Checking in was easy, the gated community gives you a little more security, and it was a very quiet neighborhood. Owner always answered my messages quickly. Pictures were accurate and house was nice inside. Kitchen had plenty of dishes, utensils etc almost everything for the many meals we cooked (byo spices). Living room was very comfy. Our favorite part of the house was the huge deck with amazing mountain views! Wow. We would open the double doors and sit in the living room with the breeze blowing in and views out back. Absolutely incredible! The location made it easy to get to Grayson Highlands and other hiking spots. Go rent bikes in Damascus and ride the Creeper trail, our kids had a ball! I did have a few suggestions for the Owner and they seemed proactive in resolving them. A baby gate for basement stairs, the old VHS/dvd players can be updated to modern firesticks/apps. But I’d highly suggest staying here! Thx again!
