This one bedroom, one bath home hosts a king bed, one full bath/shower combo, fully furnished kitchen, gas fireplace and coffee bar. Enjoy your days rocking on our front porch. The campfire ring offers a great view, morning sunrise or evening sunsets. Let your worries flit away here in this quiet, peaceful haven.

Farm House Retreat

This quaint 1743 farmhouse has been lovingly restored and offers a quiet reprieve from the city or rest from a long drive. We are at the end of a private road and are nestled among 70 acres of hardwood forest. Nights are dark and quiet and days are filled with free ranging chickens and guinea fowl. We are diligently rebuilding native habitat and work on site. Our home is on the property across the ponds. A confirmed identity is required for booking.

A Perfect Country Getaway

Heron Hill 49 is a place for people who want to unplug, get away, and appreciate the quiet of country life. It’s an ideal space to relax or to work without distractions. Fiber optic internet is provided; cell service is limited. (We recommend wi-fi calling.) Guests will enjoy walking the property, following Spring Creek, and exploring the remains of an old, hand-built stone dam in the woods. Birdwatchers will find an abundance of species.

Nestled on 22 mostly wood acres, "Rest for the Weary 2" in South-Central Virginia is 30 minutes from Farmville (location of Green Front), in Lunenburg County. We're 7 minutes from Southside Virginia Community College, and 15 minutes from Hampden/Sydney College, and only 9 minutes from the Waverly Estate, a wedding venue in Lunenburg County. We're about 30 minutes from VCU Health Community Memorial Hospital.
