Great location that’s outside the hustle of downtown Reykjavik. Sweet neighborhood and extremely well-kept home with beautiful backyard. Highly recommend.

Great place with lovely views

Burma’s beautiful home is ideal for anyone who wants two bathrooms (hard to find in Iceland) and plenty of space. It’s in a quaint small town very close to the Golden Circle and not far from Selfoss, which has more substantial amenities. Easy drive to Gullfoss and Geysir, and a small grocery is within walking distance of the house. The views from the sunroom are beautiful. The kitchen is modern, functional, and spacious. The outdoor area, including the hot tub, is wonderful in the evening. The nearby restaurants, including those in Reykholt, are wonderful! We highly recommend this place for people who want extra space and don’t want to stay in the busy capital city. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

Wirklich eine super Unterkunft! Sehr schön und privat gelegen. Das Highlight ist natürlich der Hot Pot in dem man wunderbar entspannen kann. Absolut empfehlenswert 👍🏼

nous avons passés trois nuits dans un logement très agréable à proximité de nombreux sites. il est très bien équipé, au calme et nous avons pu voir des aurores boréales depuis le canapé à travers les baies vitrées du salon. nous recommandons fortement ce logement ! merci pour l'accueil et les idées de visites à proximité !

We really enjoyed Asa's place. It was very clean and had everything you would need: dishes, utensils, a book with detailed instructions on every major appliance in the house. Asa responded quickly to our queries and was very nice over messages, we did not see each other face to face. We would love to be back some day 🙂

Traveling with a group of nine family members, we needed a place that could accommodate a range of ages ( the youngest was 5 and oldest 73). Elin's place was absolutely perfect. Incredibly comfortable, clean, well designed and in a great location to explore the Golden Circle and beyond. She left us coffee ( and incredible find after a long journey), the perfect hot tub and a garage filled with fun activities for the kids, alongside a beautiful yard and back deck. There was nothing we lacked while staying at Elin's and returning to her her lovely home was a wonderful respite after busy days of adventure and exploring. We made dinner several times and she made check in and check out incredibly easy. I also really appreciated the list of suggestions and information she provided during check-in. I can't recommend this spot enough and would certainly stay again if I return to Iceland ( and I hope to!).

The host was very polite and responsive. The location was amazing. We found everything we expected and had a great time in the cottage.

We had an unforgettable stay at this Airbnb property in Vogar. The house was impeccably clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed, including a full kitchen, comfortable living areas fireplace, washer/dryer, and lovely deck overlooking the water. The location was stunning—remote yet offering breathtaking views of the sunset, black sand beach, mountains and we even saw the northern lights on three of the four nights we stayed. Ólafur the host was incredibly communicative and thoughtful. After long days of exploring Iceland’s natural beauty, relaxing in the hot tub was a perfect way to unwind. This was truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had, and we look forward to returning and recommending this property to friends. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic, and comfortable Icelandic getaway that is centrally located. 15 minutes from the airport and Blue Lagoon, 35 minutes to Reykjavík, and easily accessible to the highway for road trips. The house was spacious, clean , tidy and we felt at home. All amenities and description were the same as in the advertisement in air B&B. Nice neighbourhood and easy to walk to the supermarket although we had a car. Definitely recommend to others Kjartan was a great host before and during our stay . Iceland is a lovely country.

Our stay at Larus’ accommodation was magical. Such a beautiful and restful setting, we felt relaxed instantaneously. The space was spotless with everything considered. The hot tubs and sauna were wonderful luxuries with the verandas thoughtfully sheltered from the breeze and the kayak’s in the lake which our boys enjoyed. The communication from start to when we left was proactive and clear with Kamil kindly meeting us at the cottages to guide us to the house and show us around. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return soon.

Wir hatten einen schöne Zeit dort, wir haben alles so vorgefunden wie es beschrieben war. Lina , die Katze ist sehr süß und verschmust. Das Haus liegt am Rande der Wohnsiedlung, so mussten wir nur ein paar Schritte laufen um Nachts gut die Nordlichter sehen zu können. Wir können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb! The space was ample for our family of five, allowing everyone to have their own room and privacy. The included parking was a huge plus, especially in a city where parking can be a challenge. Our host was very welcoming upon arrival, making us feel at home right away. The only minor drawbacks were that check-in felt a bit lengthy after a long flight, and a few appliances could use some upgrades—our toaster worked inconsistently, the coffee machine's water compartment leaked, and we had some initial confusion with the dishwasher. That said, these were small inconveniences in an otherwise excellent stay. The home was comfortable, well-located, and well-suited for a family. We would highly recommend it!

This place is such a gem! Easy to find, parking outside, spotless and incredible views. The hot tub and pool table are what sold it for us and they did not disappoint. Will definitely consider rebooking if we ever return to Reykjavík. Thanks!

The luxury villa was all we could ask for and more. The location is fantastic right across from Kerid crater and easy access to all the hot spots. The villa is nicely appointed with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was magnificent! My only advice would be to allow the outside motion light the ability to be shut off. We woke up at midnight both nights to see the northern lights but the lights out front kept coming on. Would be great if they could be shut off for optimal viewing. Otherwise everything was fantastic and I highly recommend this villa!!

This place was perfect! 4 adult and 4 kids. It was absolutely beautiful home and the owners were so responsive and helpful. The house is walking distance to food markets and some restaurants and only 20 min drive from downtown Reykjavik. Walking trails all along the area. We could not have picked a better place to stay for our visit to Iceland, highly recommend this place!

Great place for a family with small kids. Spacious and in a quiet neighborhood. Kids enjoyed the trampoline and other toys. Host was flexible with check in and efficient/accommodating even though previous guests checked out a bit late.

Una was an excellent host, she always responded to our communications promptly. Checking in was a breeze no hassles, her instructions were clear and accurate. Location was absolutely perfect close to everything including shops, groceries, restaurants and bars. The house was truly charming cozy and very very clean. It was very comfortable and relaxing staying there. I would definitely consider staying there if I visited Reykjavík again in future.

Jette’s house is ideally located to get into Reykjavík and to get out into the absolutely stunning countryside. Located just of the motorway But well soundproofed and superbly insulated you certainly won’t get cold. Jette stayed in contact just enough but felt approachable at the same time. Plenty of grocery shops around so you can cook in the well equipped kitchen. By car it takes about 5-10 mins to get into the old town. Have fun.
