Scott School was a Campbell County one-room school from 1905 to 1928. In 2010, Scott School was renovated and serves as a lovely tea room and quiet location for guests. The cottage is complete with two bedrooms (one twin, one full), central HVAC, full kitchen, and televisions. Points of interest nearby are: Red Hill-last home and burial place of Patrick Henry (5 miles), University of Lynchburg (30 miles), Liberty University (25 miles), Randolph College (30 miles), and Appomattox (22 miles).

Our cabin is built out of old wood and doors found on the farm. Because I am such a cold natured person, I installed heated floors and a heated towel bar in addition to the mini-split and electric fireplace! The cabin is surrounded by pastures that are the home to our cows, horses, goats, pot belly pig, and chickens. The highlight of a stay at BWJ Cabin would be to sit on the front porch in a rocking chair, day bed swing or hot tub looking out over the landscape and do nothing.

We are located 6 miles away from the local town nearby groceries, restaurants and fast food. You will not miss our house, as we are the last house by the end of the road, we have a half a mile gravel driveway from the stop sign, just come through the stop sign and you will see the property. This is 11 acres property near the woods, with different wildlife sightings.
