Brilliant for walkers and cyclists (Sandstone Way cycle route) and a great base for exploring wonderful Northumberland. Located within the "International Dark Sky Park" it is a fantastic place to stargaze, with specialist equipment provided.

Swinburne Castle

Swinburne Castle is perfectly situated within its own beautiful parkland and gardens. Traditionally decorated, parts of the house have tremendous history dating back to the 12th century. The east wing is extremely comfortable and private, and don't be perturbed by the stone steps leading down to the vaulted cellar. A delicious continental breakfast will be provided in your rooms. There is ample parking and a tennis court you are welcome to use. lovely footpaths from the house for keen walkers.

Situated in the pretty village of Harbottle near Rothbury within the Northumberland National Park, this traditional stone holiday cottage is an excellent base from which to explore award-winning Northumberland. The village itself has castle ruins, a lake, river, a good pub with village shop (The Star Inn) and is surrounded by hills and woodland including The Cheviot Hills. 4* Star Cottage is nicely presented and well equipped, sleeping 1 to 4 guests in 2 bedrooms. 2 small/medium dogs welcome.

Sundial Cottage, Northumberland National Park

Located in the Northumberland Village of Netherton this 2 bed cottage located within the Northumberland national Park. The cottage was previously owned by the Armstrong family owners of Craigside and Bambrugh Castle. In the past its been a post office and a sweet shop. Fully refurbished to a high standard to provide guests with a luxurious relaxing stay. Close to all of the Northumberland Coastal and Country favourites as well as some secret ones. Perfect for hill walking, running or cycling.

Located within walking distance of a remote outstretched beach and just a few miles from the coastal village of Alnmouth and historical village of Warkworth. Alnmouth train station is only a 5 minute drive. From here you can travel directly to Edinburgh in 1 hour. The studio features an open plan sleeping/ living area with a kitchen.

It is a perfect hideaway for two with a cosy log burning fire, original beams, real wood floors and a lovely flower-filled garden. In the summer months we offer an extra 2 beds in the garden bunkhouse located a few steps from the back door. Situated in the hamlet of Sharperton on the border of Northumberland National Park, our location offers an ideal base to explore the surrounding countryside and coastline.
