You can start exploring from the door step; we can help with guides, directions and recommendations. The room can be configured as a luxury Super King or twin beds.

The Old Shippon is a super little self-catering cottage for 2 situated in the glorious Peak District National Park. A cosy secluded retreat with wood-burner, fully equipped kitchen, private garden and secure off-road drive parking. Stunning views and walks from the door. The famous Dovedale beauty-spot is easily accessible straight from the cottage. There are 2 good cycling trails close by where you can hire bikes or if you bring your own we have a secure bike store.A very warm welcome awaits!

Parsons Barn is over 300 years old and stands at the entrance to the village of Hartington in the beautiful White peak in the Peak District National Park . The cottage has a private and safe south facing fully enclosed garden with BBQ and outdoor garden furniture. Hartington itself is a popular pretty village boasting some 3 pubs 3 cafes, post office , Deli Stores and News agents and of course our very own famous Cheese shop not to missed Walking and cycling can be done from the front door

A perfect base for walking and cycling or just simply relax among the endless unspoilt countryside. Many historic houses are very nearby including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Tissington Hall among others. There are many pubs and farm shops nearby so whether you want to eat out, grab a takeaway or simply enjoy cooking - the choice is yours!

We have the great advantage of 2 PARKING SPACES and a lock up for cycles. The terraced gardens afford views over the village and surrounding hills beyond.
