Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Renovated cabin (2021) is located nearby the ocean with lovely oceanview, only few miles from the historical Snæfellsjokull glacier. Good comfort in the house. It is equipped with a big fireplace and outdoor jacuzzi on the 100 sqm terrace Varieties in outdoor walking tours to experience the nature. Such as lava, glacier, mountains, caves, waterfalls and old fishing villages. Historical place with amazing geology as well as rich birdlife. The culture of this region is worth the experience.

Wooden, warm house for six people. Perfectly integrated into the lava field at the foot of the extinct GRABROK volcano, which you can enter almost straight from home :). Beautiful views and silence. Only the sounds of nature can be heard. An ideal place to observe the northern lights (no city lights). Just 300 meters from the main road No. 1. Fully equipped kitchen. Perfectly clean drinking water flows from the tap. The jacuzzi is already working :) There are bubbles and it's nice :) !!!

Aurora Horizon Retreat

A quiet and peaceful getaway with amazing ocean views. Located in the beautiful fjord called “Hvalfjörður”. Only a 45 minute drive from the capital. The interior was completely renovated in 2024. You can relax in the hot tub and enjoy amazing views of the horizon during the summer and you might see the northern lights during the winter. It's a perfect location for day trips to discover the Snæfellsnes peninsula and the silver circle and it's not far from the golden circle either.

The cabin is quite well planned, open and relaxing with stunning picturesque scenery, as one of a handful of cabins in a secluded area. The cabin is very cosy with a rustic touch, to make your experience as wonderful as possible. We have a fire in the living room ( firewood and Firestarters only provided when possible.) With two double sized beds (140cm) and a sofa bed in the living room so perfect for families and small groups of 4-6.
