Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Unwind in this new one-bedroom self-contained suite situated on a tranquil cul-de-sac in the prestigious Bear Mountain neighbourhood of Langford. You'll be just minutes away from a variety of amenities, including restaurants, hiking trails, lakes, a golf course, Costco, pharmacies, grocery stores, a movie theatre, Galloping Goose trail and Goldstream Provincial Park. The suite offers over 500 square feet, recently built with the latest design in construction, a full bathroom, laundry and dryer.

Sooke Cedar House - Aletheia Suite

The Aletheia Suite is nearly 800 Sq ft of "Wow". The King size hand crafted four poster luxurious bed never ceases to amaze. Two sided wood burning fire place, extra large jacuzzi tub, WIFI and flat screen TV. Private sitting area and well equipped kitchenette (including: fridge, microwave/convection oven, hot plate, toaster, kettle, french press). Outside your private entrance is a large covered patio that overlooks english gardens complete with fountains, arbours, ponds and lit covered BBQ.

Forest Hideout

Our tiny cabin is located on a 14 acres property in the middle of the woods. You will enjoy complete privacy and use of your own area on the land, including a pond. Located 2 min, from the Transcanada Trail, 20 min. walk to the Kinsol Trestle, a World Heritage Site with beautiful swimming holes right underneath the bridge. 20 min. to next Grocery store and 22-25 min to Duncan. Approx. 50 min- 1 hr to Victoria. Pottery lessons are available by request if you have always wanted to try it out.

Oceanus, 30 min to Victoria, 15 min to Langford

Only 30 min from downtown Victoria, Oceanus offers a relaxing retreat/romantic sanctuary. Featuring a king-size bed, a queen-size pullout sofa, and a crib, this garden suite accommodates up to four adults. Oceanus has a full kitchen, equipped with all you need to prepare delicious meals, including a blender, a mixer, and a BBQ grill. Oceanus also offers a full bathroom, free laundry, parking, and fast internet (PureFibre), a cozy yet roomy space, and a private backyard with gorgeous views.

With trails nearby, and some even attached, yet still close to all amenities in Cowichan and Langford, we like to think we have it all here! We are happy to provide guests with all the modern basics you need; plus a hot tub, fire pit, and bbq. We also have baby amenities available upon request.
