The location of the hotel is in a place where you can walk to downtown area of Kyoto and famous temples. It is a very convenient place.

To ensure you enjoy the stay to the fullest, I set check-in and check-out time to both 12:00 Noon. So you can stay up for 24 hours with one night booking. YAMANOTE HOUSE is accessible from major Kansai stations with 37min from Kyoto Sta. or 65min from Osaka Sta. If you come by car from Kyoto it takes less than 1 hour. The area aournd the house is once small castle town. The house is located next to the Shrine, Hiyoshi-Jinja, where the Omizo Festival is held on May 3 and 4 every year.

This guesthouse is a renovated 120-year-old traditional Japanese house located in the merchant town of Omi Hino, overlooking Mt. Watamuki in the Suzuka Mountains of Shiga Prefecture, with the concept of "nostalgic yet new." The townscape of Hino itself is somehow nostalgic and calming. "Watamukiyama Village" was born in a corner of this town in 2019. Accommodation is limited to one group at a time, and the accommodation fee starts from the rate for two people.

江戸時代に建てられた２階建ての土蔵を改装し、ゲストハウスとしました。 広くはないですが、土壁や太い梁など土蔵の雰囲気を残しながら、１階にIHクッキングヒーター付きのキッチンを設置。１階、２階にエアコンを完備し、快適に過ごせます。土蔵ならではの遮音性や夏の涼しさ、冬の暖かさを体験いただけます。 車で5分ほどでサウナ施設、15分程度のところに姉川温泉、20分ほどで北近江の湯があります。 周辺はたびたび歴史の舞台となった長浜ならではの観光スポットが多くあります。 国宝の彦根城や豊臣秀吉の長浜城、石田三成の生誕地、日本屈指の山城・小谷城、合戦の地・賤ヶ岳、など。また関ケ原合戦地までは車で20分足らずです。 琵琶湖周辺のほか、日本最古の鉄道駅舎・長浜鉄道スクエアや子供も遊べるヤンマーミュージアム、黒壁スクエアなど歴史以外の楽しみもいっぱいです。 近江牛、鴨料理、焼鯖そうめん、のっぺいうどん、サラダパンや鴨、小鮎などグルメも楽しめます。
