After undergoing renovation in 2018, today it offers guests all the comfort of a contemporary homestay with a old heritage charm. The ground floor houses the common living-cum-dining room, kitchen and a double room with a bathroom and private balcony. The first-floor has three bedrooms, a bathroom, a cozy living room and a common balcony.

Cedar used to be the erstwhile King’s room when he visited. It is completely wood-lined. The ceilings still maintain the original mural paintings and woodwork. At the head of the bed is a panel of traditional British architecture-inspired bay windows. A traditional intricately carved fireplace holds the centre of the room. The room also has a study table/workspace. The room is ideal for 2 people. If you’re travelling with a child, the room can accommodate 2 persons and a child below 8 years.

Previously occupied by the Forest Department, the cottage has now been restored as a homestay. The list of fruiting plants and vegetables grown here is endless. Around 80% of what you will eat here is locally sourced. The Lodge offers something that is all too quickly disappearing: peace, stillness, nature and an opportunity to disconnect with the outside world.
