The cottage is family-owned and is located in beautiful and peaceful surroundings next to Medalfellsvatn Lake with spectacular views over the lake. The cottage is located near Reykjavi­k, about 30-40 minute drive from Reykjavik. It is ideally situated amongst Iceland's most popular attractions. Many of the attractions are within 1 one-hour drive from the cottage, e.g. the Þingvellir National Park, which is on the way to Gullfoss and Geysir. Hot tub available upon request for €15 per day.

Check in/out without personal contact 35 min. drive from Reykjavik by the lake Medalfellsvatn, near Hvalfjordur. Exact location given closer to check in. Cabin A: 4 adults+1 child (2 bedrooms) Cabin B: 4-6 guests (total 8 in both cabins). The cabins are not connected. About 10 m from each other (connected by a patio). Panoramic view over the lake/mountains. N-lights from the patio during fall/winter Hot tub (not whirlpool) ALL YEAR ROUND-wifi-towels-linen. A unique family friendly place.

Huset ligger på en stor privat grund og består af stort og veludstyret køkken med spiseplads, stue med brændeovn, 2 soveværelser og et tredje soveværelse i et seperat gæstehus, tæt på hoved huset. Der er en dejlig stor terrasse med gas gril og hot pot med udsigt til bjerge. Badekåber og tøfler til rådighed for gæsterne.

Gunnu Hús by Meðalfellsvatn ( Our lakeside cottage nestles at the foot of Medalfell mountain and the garden leads right down to the lake. The views are spectacular, of the lake and its surrounding mountain scape; it is a place of pure tranquility. It has 3 bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and sitting room. It has a large double bedroom, and small double bedroom and a room with a bunk bed. It is well known and often listed as one of the most scenic and lovely summer cottages in Iceland.

Sólvellir 1: A nice cottage near Reykjavík

A forty-five minute drive away from Reykjavík, in the beautiful fjord Hvalfjörður and by the lake Meðalfellsvatn, the cottage Sólvellir is located. With the cottage comes a garden and a terrace with barbeque facilities and a hot tub (only for Sólvellir1 ). The cottage includes a private bathroom with a shower, a kitchen, TV and a free WiFi. The surrounding area is full of nature and has many exciting hiking trails, and during the winter there is a high chance of northern lights.

Himri the mountain villa

Stunning villa with amazing 360 views, great location close to the golden circle and the capital region (only 30 min drive). The villa has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and sleeps 10 people. Himri is very spacious (300 sqm) and has everything you could wish for - a fully equipped gym and game room, a sauna and a hot tub. We just bought the villa and just finished a complete renovation. This beautiful cabin is only 40 min from Reykjavík for 4 people in two queen size beds (one bedroom and a loft). Hot tub, gas grill, wifi, Netflix, bathroom with shower and cozy fireplace. Well equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The cabin is close to Hvalfjörður, Hvammsvík Hot springs, Glymur (Iceland's tallest waterfall), Thingvellir (30 min), Golden Circle and Snæfellsnes (170 km). Great opportunity to see the Northern lights if weather allows.

Cozy little cabin in the quiet and beautiful countryside of Kjos, panoramic views of mountains and the surrounding countryside. Excellent location--only 45-minutes to Reykjavik and Thingvellir National Park. Close by to Glymur Waterfall and many great hiking paths. A GREAT PLACE FOR WATCHING THE NORTHERN LIGHTS. For summertime visits (July), we have bug sprays available for the no see ums (Lúsmý) as well as window nets.
