The Haven is just that - a place of rest. Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. The cabin is nestled in a wooded area with a pond view and rolling hills. In the heart of beautiful Amish country we are just minutes away from popular attractions. The living area includes a full kitchen, washer and dryer, and comfortable furniture to enjoy a smart tv and fireplace. A King bed and full bath on the main floor. The loft has a queen bed. This rustic 2-bedroom cabin is conveniently located on large private pond just outside the city limits of Mt. Vernon with shopping, dining, brewery and entertainment. We are pet friendly, dogs only ($50 per stay, max 2 dogs) with all the modern convenience, fully stocked kitchen, 50" flat screen smart TV, washer/dryer and fast internet. Outdoor fireplace/grill is the perfect hangout just steps from deck overlooking the large pond. 4-person paddle boat is there for use during your stay.

A floor-to-ceiling glass front provides you with a view of fields green in summertime and ripe with goldenrod in the fall, four outdoor deck spaces invite you to relax in the beauty of nature, and a second story loft suite with a soaking tub are ready to provide you with rest and refreshment.

Owl’s Nest

Come stay in our brand new loft adjacent to Kenyon College (just behind Ralston House). You’ll have 700 square feet of space with a private entrance. Accommodations include a king sized bed, twin bed, full bathroom, kitchenette, sitting area, and dining table. Perfect weekend spot for parents and a sibling or two of a Kenyon student. Guests should be comfortable with a flight of interior stairs. No other residents share the building with our guests.

This new cabin is one of two on the property. Both cabins are private and off-grid (no power or running water). This cabin is accessed through a mowed field by a camp Jeep (provided) and has the amenities shown in the photos. It overlooks a creek and is a great place to view wild-life and get back to nature and unplug from the hectic pace of life. Play cards/games, read, hike and make memories.
