Farm Cottage near Steep Rock. Cottage is 7 km (6-8 min drive) to the village of Steep Rock, and is a paved highway (currently under construction 2026) It's a great area for canoeing, kayaking, and boating on the lake, swimming and photography. Cottage has a deck with a BBQ, and a fire pit and hammocks in the yard. In Winter you can cross country ski or snowshoe on the property. Occasionally you can see the northern lights, generally in Winter. There is now also a sauna for guests.

Welcome to “The Old Cabin Down the Road”. This rustic retreat is tucked nicely in the trees and boosts a lush private yard, perfect for you to recline and recharge near the fire. Whether its fishing, swimming or sledding that you desire we are close to everything. We are located on Cottage Road South which is right on the trail system. We are a 1-minute walk to the water as well as Steep Rock Beach Park. The famous cliffs of Steep Rock are only a short drive away.

The cabin is situated on it's own 1.4 acre lot surrounded by trees to provide lots of privacy. We also offer a bunkhouse during the summer months (June - Sept) if you're looking for more space.
