The home is solar assisted & made of eco-friendly Straw Bale construction. Walk barefoot on warm radiant heat floors in the winter.

Nestled into 11 acres of ponderosa pines, Durango Basecamp Cabin provides you the serenity of mountain living combined with the ease of accessing all that Durango has to offer in 10min. The Loft encompasses a cozy mountain cabin feel with modern updates and easy access to some of Southwest Colorado's best attractions. Marked trails weave around the property for early morning coffee walk or a moonlit snowshoe - courtesy snowshoes are available for guests. Deer frequent the property as well.

Strawbale Cottage

Staying in a Strawbale home is a special experience! The thick adobe walls create a cozy and warm feeling that a traditional stick built home just can’t. Enjoy the vaulted ceilings, heated floors, new appliances and natural sunlight. Backyard, fire pit and gas grill as well as outdoor eating space. The view from the kitchen looks out on a private pond and local historic (retired) Rio Grande Railroad bridge. Some scenes from the movie Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were shot by this bridge!

Our beautiful mountain home is nestled between Durango and Pagosa Springs Colorado. Whether you are looking for a quite, private and secluded vacation spot or a home between two local ski resorts (Purgatory and Wolf Creek) this home offers the best of both worlds. This is also a great hunting spot, less than a quarter mile walk to public hunting property held by BLM. You can walk right out the door and hike, snow shoe, or sled down the driveway. We are not present when the home is occupied.

This cozy bungalow on "The Mesa" is approximately 13 miles from downtown Dgo. It is an unattached stylish efficiency with all of the comforts of home. We are close to the airport and hospital in the southern agricultural area of town. Beautiful views, simple living and comfort in this adorable custom apartment will have you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated! There are pets on the property and neighboring ranches galore. The apartment is very private, with ample parking; trailers welcome.

Enjoy a country escape to our stylishly appointed studio apartment in a peaceful country setting, with a pond right out the front door! Our pet friendly property has been fully renovated, and includes a fenced in area for your dog and chairs to enjoy the sunset views. The well designed kitchenette, living room, bathroom, and washer/dryer are everything needed for a relaxing getaway. The apartment is the lower floor of our home, and my family and I live upstairs in a separate unit.

7 miles west of downtown Durango. 2024 cabin built from timbers harvested and milled on site, covered deck with spectacular mountain views, loft with king size bed, kitchen w/ range, full bath with walk-in shower, living room with smart TV & high speed internet. Sleeping loft accessed by spiral staircase which may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. 432 square feet of living space. 25 minimum age requirement to book, exceptions can be made for guests with good feedback.

Nearby (5 miles) are the historic Durango train, hiking, skiing, and fishing. Watch wild turkeys, deer at night, and feed ducks, geese, and trout (no fishing). Walk, ski, or snowshoe the 1.8-mile loop, or pan for gold in Lightner Creek. No pets, designed for adults. Enjoy a peaceful, special getaway.
