The historic McNeil House is located on State Street just one block from Downtown restaurants, shops, and the Bluff. You won't find a better or more convenient location when visiting this beautiful city! We're offering smaller groups an opportunity to stay in our historic home by renting the main floor that sleeps up to five guests. The upstairs will not be rented during your stay, so you'll have the house to yourself but won't have access to the upstairs. Only available during the off season.

With a stunning view of the lake, indoor/outdoor fire areas, and a serene yard, our home is perfect for a weekend away, a Michigan staycation, or even as an overflow home when visiting family. Our cottage exudes old charm with its rustic hardwood floors and cabin-like porch, yet it has the right amount of modernity with high-speed WiFi and newer appliances.

The Hideaway on Mitchellii Lane

A completely furnished apartment in the basement of our log home (our main residence) on 5 acres of woods above beautiful Shavehead Lake. Entrance into the apartment through a screened in porch and double French doors provides privacy and space to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor landscape. A large egress window allows natural sunlight into the bedroom on the opposite side of the wall from the kitchen/dining room/living room. High speed internet & YouTubeTV provide entertainment options.

Farm Cottage

Sweet cottage on our farm: Fully equipped kitchen and furnished living/sleeping area 14’x15' approx., washer/dryer. Sleeps 4: queen bed and queen sofa bed. Lots of privacy and next to organic garden, fields, stable and fruit orchards. All utilities, TV and WI-FI included. Well water with new water softener and water heater. Pet friendly; no pet fee. Lots of farm paths to walk your pet. Encourage off leash if trained. Horses have moved to another farm while pasture and stable rehabbed.

Romantic Gastro Loft Retreat for Two

Located above the area’s hottest new restaurant, this newly renovated 1BR/1BA urban loft features classic finishes - exposed brick, high ceilings, maple floors, and quartz countertops. Cozy, comfortable quarters directly above the Houndstooth restaurant provide a fantastic opportunity to get a “taste” of the Benton Harbor Arts District. Muffled sounds of music and activity from the restaurant below are often present in the loft during evening hours. Some guests may find this objectionable.

Stay in a 2nd story private suite in a modern farmhouse where we reside on a family farm in Amish country. Guests have the entire 2nd floor: 2 bedrooms, a private bath, and a sitting room. You can watch Amish buggies drive by while you rock on the front porch, access shared patio spaces or sit by a creek. We have cows, goats & chickens. So mornings might be snowy.
