Cob Cottage

Channel the pursuit of pause in this one-of-a-kind earth house. The cozy retreat was hand-sculpted using local and sustainable natural materials, and features a central living space with cantilevered slab stairs leading to the loft bedroom. Guests have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property. We live in the neighbouring house, and are happy to give advice or answer questions to help you make the most of your stay. The neighborhood is quite rural and mostly agricultural with several farms and a small private vineyard. The home is a 10 minute walk from the beach and a 20 minute walk from a family grocery and deli specializing in local organic produce. Mayne Island has a small community bus. Times and routes are limited, particularly in the winter. It will stop at the driveway. We also have an official hitch hiking system with signed Car Stops where you can wait for a ride. Usually you don't have to wait long. We are happy to offer pickup and drop off at the ferry dock as a courtesy to encourage car-free travellers, on days when the community bus is not running. Please let us know ahead of time that you'll be coming without your own transportation, and we will make sure that either we or the community bus (which will drop you off at our driveway) are there to meet you when your ferry arrives. The BC Ferries terminals near Victoria and Vancouver are easily reachable via public transit from their respective airports and downtowns.

Bright converted garage with separate entrance nestled between the Bluffs and Mount Galiano. Enjoy a hot beverage, tea or coffee, or have a cold drink from your bar fridge while you wait for your BBQ. Your private deck overlooks a meadow perfect to enjoy a re-heated meal from the local restaurants. You are very welcome to use our fenced yard. Access to magnificent Mount Galiano is only minutes away! Your rural home on “The Gem of the Gulf Islands” is perfect for 2 adults plus a smaller teenager.

Equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, and queen bed this is the perfect spot to enjoy a taste of the Salt Spring life. Shop at a local farm stand and use the kitchen to cook up a farm to table meal. Then go for a walk to the beach to enjoy the best sunset on Salt Spring! After a quick walk home, a comfy bed awaits, or stay up and play one of many board games offered!

Water Front One Bedroom Suite with view and beach

A beautiful one bedroom suite amongst the trees with stunning views down the harbour to Ganges. All rooms overlook the water. There are stairs to the private entrance, and also from the suite to the beach and boat house. Large open plan dining/lounge area, with an American Leather (extremely comfortable) sofa bed and mini kitchen. The bedroom has a Queen bed, two night stands and a dresser. It has a four piece bathroom. The house is newly built, is south facing and has a lot of character.

A light breakfast of organic granola and fruit in the fridge is offered, as well as teas, coffees, etc. The seaside farm is down the driveway where horses, sheep, chickens, cats, and a dog live. Feel free to wander. Come have a taste of West Ganges with amazing sunsets, Mt. Erskine hiking, Earth Candy market and Wild Cider, all nearby.
