Located off US-460, only 6 miles to LU, 3 miles to downtown, and a short drive to local hospitals, shopping, dining and nature trails. Nestled off a quiet street, the large back deck overlooks a serene wooded yard, perfect for outdoor meals and morning coffee. Inside, you’ll find a welcoming living space, a fully equipped kitchen, and soft, luxurious sateen sheets and room darkening curtains- the perfect sleep.

The Guest House

WE DO NOT HAVE CABLE TV. UP A FLIGHT of STAIRS is a spacious apartment next to The Historic Masonic Theatre in the center of town. The building is built above Smith Creek and the comforting sound will lull you to sleep. The mattresses are comfy pillow tops and we have plenty of seating. You will be within walking distance of many restaurants and stores. Unfortunately this listing is not handicapped accessible due to the stairs and if you have any allergies be aware we allow guests to have dogs.

Nelson lake has a boat ramp and public fishing just 5 miles away.

Our cabin was originally a grainery. We moved it to sit on a wooded knoll on our working sheep farm. Mornings can be spent relaxing on our front porch while watching lambs play. Guests are just 10 minutes to downtown Lexington, Virginia Military Institute, Washington & Lee University, Southern Virginia University & the Virginia Horse Center. The owner is a VMI alumnus.
