Great launching pad for day trips to Acadia National Park or hiking and fishing in Baxter State Park, both within 1.5 hour drive. Close to hundreds of miles of ATV and snowmobiling trails. Apartment is recently renovated and directly connected to host family home, with comfortable accommodations for up to 4 guests

Outskirts of Orono, space has an upstairs sleeping loft, with a low-ish ceiling and very comfy bed. The bathroom has a shower, the kitchen has a hot plate, microwave/convection, ‘fridge, and there is a large main room downstairs. Windows everywhere, and an AC unit in summer. Less than 20 minutes walk to restaurants, Ampersand’s grocery, and hiking. UMaine is our chief attraction but we are 20 min drive from the Bangor Waterfront. Arrive at 3 pm and leave at 10 am, but we are flexible.

Enjoy restaurants, bars and cafés in Orono or Old Town. We are very close to 95, making it easy to day trip to Acadia National Park, Camden, or Baxter State Park.

Only a few miles to Dover-Foxcroft, or Sebec Lake. Far enough away to get away, but close enough to the amenities and sights.

SNOW SWEET, A Yurt for All Seasons

Snow Sweet at The Appleton Retreat is very private, check out the Trail Map. This contemporary yurt faces the Field of Dreams and has a nice view of Appleton Ridge. It features a private therapeutic hot tub on the deck, a fire pit, and fast wifi. The Appleton Retreat encompasses 120 acres hosting six unique retreats. To the south is the Pettengill Stream, a resource protected area. To the north is the Nature Conservancy's 1300 acre reserve.
