Ryders Retreat offers a modern, cosy base from which to enjoy all that Westgate on Sea offers. As if the beautiful beaches (just 200 steps away) and many restaurants weren’t enough, there’s the selection of independent shops in town, the Carlton cinema and Westgate golf course all within 5 minutes walk. Enjoy the prom walk through to Margate or catch the train to easily explore the other towns in Thanet. Remember to head to West Bay for the absolutely stunning sunset before a great nights sleep!

Birchington Chalet

Birchington chalet is 5 minutes walk to the sea or the railway station and the village centre, where you will find all amenities . You’ll love our chalet, it is comfortable airy, has a large walk in shower,a self contained kitchen and secure parking. It is a short walk to Minnis Bay where you can enjoy beach life, then good food and wine while you watch the stunning sunset at The Minnis. We welcome couples, singles, business travellers, cyclists, watersport enthusiasts walkers, and families.

Located on a 120 acre farm. The ultimate star gazing pad. The unusual lodging is fully equipped to help you enjoy a excellent and original night. A cosy bed, a toilet, shower, clean towels and a thousand stars over you. Lay in bed turn off the lamps and start counting. Situated between the medieval town of Sandwich and seaside coast of Deal within a 10 minute drive each way. Canterbury just 20 minutes further, there is plenty to see whilst away.

Woodsmoke Studio: Boho country retreat

Relax and unwind in this artist-run bohemian retreat. Tucked away in the village of Preston, surrounded by countryside, you'll enjoy a peaceful 'get-away' within easy reach of local amenities and Kent's stunning coastline. The studio is blissfully quiet, set back from the cottage with its own entrance under a vine-covered pergola, with views to a large garden. Our beach apartment is in a beautiful converted Victorian period house, with it's own private balcony, less than 5 mins walk from Minnis Bay Beach. Birchington Station (10 mins walk) provides good links to London and nearby coastal retreats. There is a parade of shops with a convenience store, fish and chips, cafe and micro pub 2 mins away. The Minnis Bay Brasserie is a 5 min walk away along the promenade. There are great routes for walking/running/cycling in all directions.
