Our home has been in our family since 1923 and retains many original features but updated to suit modern comfort and needs. Great access to beautiful surrounding region of Wye Valley and Forest of Dean. Our home boasts a well-appointed kitchen (with AGA), fast internet, sunroom and huge windows that fill the house with light.

Situated in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside, close to the Wales border, Adam's Stable is a recently refurbished space, connected to Meadow Barn. The space provides a king size bed, 2 day chairs, microwave and brand new shower room. Breakfast for the first day is provided. With private parking and its own entrance, you can be sure of a wonderfully relaxed and peaceful stay. This area is a paradise for walkers, with many walks very close by, and a local pub only 1.5 miles down the road.

Peaceful Stone Cottage among fabulous gardens

The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The gardens retain many original features including formal terraces, octagonal pool, glasshouse, pergola and 100 ft long double herbaceous borders. There are spectacular views to the Brecon Beacons

Walking distance to Monmouth town centre, with all local amenities, and the Royal Oak pub a 5 minute walk away. Cwningfan is ideally located for sporting or relaxing breaks. Less than a mile from Monmouth, voted best place to live in Wales, with its many restaurants, pubs and cafes, it provides easy access to the Wye Valley, Forest of Dean, Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains. Golfers can enjoy great rounds at Rolls of Monmouth and Celtic Manor "Open" courses. Cyclists, canoeists and climbers are spoilt for choice. The area is rich in famous historical and heritage sites, many with free entry.

And is a short distance from the Wye valley, Tintern abbey and many beautiful walks within the Forest of Dean. Beautifully decorated and featuring original glass windows, period furniture, and a recently refurbished bathroom. We provide tea and coffee facilities in the apartment but we also have a private, kitchenette which is down the hall.

We are in a great spot for the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons, Bike Park Wales, Cannop Cycle Centre and the Offa’s Dyke Path. There are lovely walks right from the door and so much to do nearby!
