This place was adorable! My friends and I couldn't stay very long but really loved our limited there. I loved the remoteness of this house.

Great location by the distillery and the Blaborg resort which has an excellent restaurant. It was great to be able to bring our cats, yet when we arrived it did not seem at all like a “pet house” (in a good way, IYKYK). The stairs/ladder to the sleeping loft is extremely traditional Icelandic and is not for people with limited mobility. All in all, a great place to have as a base for hiking and puffin watching.

Our family had a wonderful stay here. We walked to the local swimming pool after dinner and had a great time. Would highly recommend!

Es war die BESTE Unterkunft in der ich je war. Die Traditionen von Island kann man nicht besser kennenlernen. Kein Strom, kein Internet und trotzdem war ich nie Glücklicher in einer Unterkunft von Airbnb :)

I had a wonderful stay! The cabin was cozy, clean, and surrounded by stunning nature. The peacefulness and privacy made it a perfect getaway. We were greeted by sheep and horses all around, adding to the charm of the rural setting. The location felt secluded, yet it was easy to access. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in nature!

Wonderful space with everything we needed. Lovely views and a bonus for us of visible northern lights the night we were there.

Jon was very responsive, and he was very accommodating! The home felt comfortable. A couple of things to note, first is the doorways are short. My hubby is 6’3” tall and he hit his head on every door way. And that the only shower is outdoors. I missed that part of the listing. But I’m sure it’s an experience but we did not use it since we only stayed one night. The property and surrounding area is wonderful to explore! Overall a wonderful cozy stay!

loved it! great views, super comfy, very homey. would def go back. it’s expensive, but so is everywhere else in iceland

Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr schön und gemütlich. Sie ist super ausgestattet und es gab alles was man brauchte. Die Lage ist auch sehr gut, es ist mitten im Ort, aber trotzdem sehr ruhig und mit tollen Blick auf die Berge. Man kann hier richtig entspannen und zur Ruhe kommen. Wir können die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Tout était bien , facile à trouver et parfait pour un séjour dans l’est de l’Islande , appartement conforme aux photos et attentes , très moderne à l’intérieur.
