Robert was a fantastic host. The place was very cozy and peaceful and was everything needed for a wonderful getaway from the rustle and bustle of everyday life. To top it off, my girlfriend and I got ourselves stuck and he helped dig and push our car put and was even willing to help tow us out if it came to that. He went above and beyond anything I’d expect from a host. And I highly recommend staying at one of his locations if you want a great place to stay and a host who has your back. We’ll definitely be back!

We rented Alexandra's beautiful home for a company retreat and it was so wonderful we are already hoping to rent it again. The majority of my team is local but the others were from across CAN and the US. We were all equally blown away by the view and the spaciousness. It's proximity to town made it easy to grab folks from the airport and for any last minute runs for supplies. (There is also a connivence store only a few minutes away.) We were there to play and test board games, and there was ample room to set up multiple games across various tables. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need. There was more than enough dish-ware, supplies and linens/towels. It does get warm with the floor to ceiling windows but as long as you use the blinds and the many fans it is never to uncomfortable. The private beach and protected swimming area was great for refreshing dips and everyone loved the kayaks and paddle boards. 100 would recommend and stay again! Thank you!

Erik was very easy to work with, answered all questions in a prompt manner. House was very clean, and exactly what was described. Sauna was amazing. Highly, highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the Grand Marais area.

A Perfect Valentine’s Getaway on Lake Superior I can’t say enough about this incredible cabin on Lake Superior—it was everything I hoped for and more! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that every detail had been thoughtfully designed to create the perfect escape. The cabin itself was stunning, with warm, inviting decor and high-end finishing touches that made it feel both luxurious and cozy. The fireplace, soft lighting, and plush furnishings set the perfect mood for a romantic getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, making it easy to prepare a special meal without missing a thing. The highlight, of course, was the hot tub overlooking the lake. Listening to the icy waves crash while soaking in the warmth was absolutely magical, especially under the stars. It was the perfect place to unwind. Beyond the incredible amenities, the location was unbeatable—private, peaceful, and with breathtaking views of Lake Superior.

This was my third stay and I’m never disappointed!! It’s such a peaceful location with stunning views and the house is always spotless! Absolutely everything you need is waiting for you! I’ve stayed with friends and had a great time and this past stay was with my kids and the board games and puzzles provided were amazing! Cannot say enough great things about this place and I’m sure we’ll be back!

Had a great one night stay with my partner and 2 dogs while road tripping across Canada! The unit is attached to the main house with a shared backyard area. Jolanta was kind enough to bring the dog she was caring for inside, so our puppies could run around in the backyard. The bathroom was huge and clean! The bedsheets and pillows were super comfortable. Lovely place to stay!

Perfect small cabin for a couple on a weekend getaway up north! Hosts were great and always responsive with questions. Thanks again! We’d love to come back sometime soon!!

What a fabulous home, with exceptional furnishings, personal touches and so well equipped. This felt like a spa getaway. Can’t recommend this spot enough!!

Great, quiet, and remote cabin – perfect for a peaceful getaway while we were in area to fish on a lake nearby. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to a family emergency, so we didn’t get to fully enjoy our stay. The hosts were very kind and responsive throughout. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, and I'm sure it's even more enjoyable in the summer when you can make the most of the outdoor space.
