It is a 20-minute drive to Kilkenny City which has endless restaurants and tourist attractions. It is situated 1 mile outside the small village of Mullinahone in Co. Tipperary. The property is a 1 hour 45-minute drive from Shannon Airport and Dublin Airport, 15 minutes from Slievenamon mountain hike and 30 minutes away from the Rock of Cashel.

Close to Thurles and yet secluded and private. The setting is tranquil with nature and local woods where one may walk between the trees and reset. We respectfully request that guests take off their shoes in the back lobby when entering the house and use socks or slippers .

Down a short cul-de-sac laneway with lots of trees and pleasant countryside. We have cows , sheep and playful lambs in the Spring. ! The bedroom area upstairs is divided into two bedrooms. Plenty of birdsong! Cat's Barn is the name, but don't worry...you won't be sleeping with cats !

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Six Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.
