The Roam Inn delivers Boho Glamping & Farm-Fun adventures at Big Cedars Farm. This camper travelled the Oregon Trail...yep, toured it, AND was featured on a blog...before she was set here-- nestled on the plateau we call Billy Goat Bluff. A "Tiny House" original, your memorable stay includes: friendly animal interactions, morning sunrises from our updated 1959 Dalton "Canned Ham," breathtaking views from the outdoor kitchen, electricity, water and even a hot shower at the hobbit-styled privy.

Go back in time in this lovingly remodeled Norfolk & Western Caboose Car complete with a queen size bed, sleeper sofa, table for two, and bathroom. This unique and unforgettable B&B provides a complimentary breakfast, mountain beauty, 4+ miles of hiking trails, and many other outdoor areas to be enjoyed by our guests. All proceeds go to support Apple Ridge Farm a non-profit with a mission of Helpings Kids Grow! Please Note: Caboose 3 is a No Pet Rental. Our other 2 cabooses are pet friendly.

Sunset on the Ridge

Make memories with family and loved ones while enjoying a beautiful view of the sunset. A shared backyard gives you room to enjoy the outdoors with backyard games and a firepit available weather permitting for some s'mores. The camper has a master bedroom, smaller bedroom with bunk beds, full bathroom, full kitchen, 2 recliners that can also be used for sleeping, a dining room table that hides away and turns into a full size bed. Lots of activities to enjoy in the area: hiking, biking, etc.

Go back in time in this stylishly remodeled 1978 Norfolk Southern Caboose Car with queen bed, futon, table for two and attached outside deck. The overnight stay in this lovely Caboose #1 includes a complimentary breakfast. Guests can enjoy 96-acres of beautiful mountain property and 4+ miles of hiking trails. This is a unique and unforgettable experience. All proceeds support Apple Ridge Farm, a non-profit that "Helps Kids Grow!". This rental is Pet Friendly with a $25 per pet fee.

Riverside-Glamping on the New River

In the Blue Ridge Mountains, a place where you can enjoy a beautiful comfortable camper where the doors open right onto a gorgeous deck that looks directly onto the New River. Hurricane Helene replaced grass for sand. You will be able to swim, fish, kayak, and go boating right off of our property, start a fire at night or just swing on the deck. We are a 5 minute drive from the New River Trail State Park, where you can hike, bike or walk along the river!

Papa's Retreat

Our renovated camper will make your stay so relaxing and memorable. You will surely enjoy the amentities and a peaceful mountain view. It is located right at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and easy access to "Mayberry" attractions. Some of the downtown experiences like: The Andy Griffith Museum, Andy Griffith home place, Wally's Service Station (& tours), Mayberry courthouse & jail, and "downtown" has many unique stores and places to eat.

#042 - Grassy Creek Cabooses

Come spend some time in a real, completely refurbished railroad caboose (with all the modern amenities) just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Orchard Gap, approximate mile 193.5. Probably the most unique lodging along the Blue Ridge Parkway. We now have disc golf baskets and discs as well as cornhole sets. Pet owners please read the pet policy under additional rules. We DO NOT have any cleaning fees, never have. The service fees are not ours.

Vintage Camper on the River

Vintage Camper on the River is a completely remodeled tiny space set up under a shelter on a private wooded lot with river access to the Ararat River.. It has full hook ups with running water, power, and heat/AC. Along with tiny living, this listing also features an outdoor experience with a firepit, sitting area, and charcoal grill. We are very close to downtown Mount Airy and all the attractions it has to offer!!
