Must drive through creek to get there. 4x4 not required unless there is snow. Cars low to the ground not recommended.

Hurricane Helene Update: We are incredibly fortunate that our property did not suffer damage from the storm and the main roads to and from our home are accessible. Internet and power have been restored, and our property is ready to offer a lovely refuge for anyone needing a temporary place to stay. We are devastated by the losses experienced in Western NC and encourage any locals to reach out with a message prior to booking if you want to spend a few days at the Hemlock. We want to help.

The two tiny cabins, cabinA and cabinB sit on 5 acres of tranquil environment, surrounded by trees and Mountain Views. They are located about a mile off the Blue Ridge Parkway and about 2 miles from the Summit on Cross Mountain wedding venue. They are best suited for two adults and two kids, who will enjoy the unique space of the loft. The New River is about 2 miles from the cabins. Enjoy West Jefferson, which is only 6 miles away for great shopping and dining.

Mike's Mountain House

The house is gated and overlooks the mountains and the New River. Have a drink in the hot tub or around the fire pit and watch the sunsets. Early morning you may catch some Deer or even a Bobcat walking down the road! Must be at least 21 years old to rent this home. 15 Min to downtown West Jefferson and 10 min to Blue Ridge Parkway then another 10 min to waterfall! Also 15 min drive to Mt. Jefferson with some great views and hiking.

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway in the Blue Ridge Mountains look no further. There is a seasonal water view. We are 10 minutes to downtown West Jefferson or Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, 1/4 mile to New River State Park Elk Shoals river beach and 30 minutes to Boone NC. Local attractions like canoeing, kayaking and hiking all within 10 minutes or less. Onsite Yoga is available. TV is for streaming only.
