What an absolutely STUNNING place - This lovely home had EVERYTHING! So much space (we rented the top and bottom)! Many bathrooms! The best appointed kitchen I’ve ever seen! Beautiful holiday decor (we came at Xmas)! Near the resort! Hot tub! Just wow! This place has a wonderful feeling and the host was really responsive. We had a really special holiday and felt lucky to be together there. Thank you so much to Karen and Co. for sharing.

We had a fantastic stay. The house is directly on the Grandfather's Trail with super easy access to the lifts. The private garage is very convenient, the 3.5 bathrooms are awesome for a larger group when coming home and wanting to take showers, the living space has a great layout with lots of space and seating. The hosts were super easy to communicate with and always fast to respond. The welcome basket was a very nice surprise. Christmas decoration was still up which gave it a nice homey touch. The kids loved the upstairs family area, lots of games to be played, dog toys etc. The hosts have really thought of everything. The kitchen was equally well stocked and some in our party really enjoyed the fancy coffee maker. I can recommend this place without hesitation.

A beautiful and particularly well stocked chalet. Extra comfortable beds and seating and a lovely dining area. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Enjoyed the stay and had a great trip. Kids loved the hot tub and sledding on hill outside the house. Hosts communication was spot on and timely. Will definitely come back and visit again

We really enjoyed our stay. We came for the Nordic skiing at Nickel Plate and it was a short drive from our lodging. The kitchen was great for all our cooking needs. I particularly loved the well seasoned cast iron fry pan. I wish I had brought whole coffee beans to try out the espresso machine. We appreciated the two living room spaces on either side of the kitchen to give space between the readers and tv watchers. Lots of windows to watch the full moon rise. Overall this is a very clean and comfortable home to hang out in between ski sessions.

We rested with our family from January 2, 2025 to the 6th. Our house was number 4. It is designed for 6 people, but we lived three of us and it was enough for us. It is cramped for 6 people. The room is clean, there is everything you need for a stay. I give it 5 stars. The owners are very nice people and are always ready to help, it is very pleasant. But for people who value the Internet on vacation, be prepared for the fact that this is the slowest Internet in your life, you will not be able to watch a movie or YouTube. I don’t know, maybe it’s just in winter or it is in room 4 that the Internet is so bad. The lack of drinking water is also not a very pleasant moment, but we were warned about it in advance. We also could not reduce the heating temperature and it was unbearably hot, even with the windows open, but probably it is our fault. In general, I highly recommend this vacation here!

This place is a little slice of heaven on Earth! I was severely burnt out from work and needed to get away to refresh and recharge, and that's when we came across The Perch. The place is the cutest, most wonderful cabin ever. It sits right on the water and we woke up to beautiful water views everyday. The highlight was sipping hot coffee in the morning on the dock, while taking in the calm of the water and pure serenity that surrounded us. The kitchen had all the pots & pans we needed to cook great food. We spend time colouring in the colouring books provided, playing ping pong in the games room, taking our dog for a swim in the lake, and just BEING with each other. Since there is no cell reception, we weren't disturbed one bit. There is great wifi in the cabin, but we opted to turn it off so that we could truly disconnect from the world! Overall, this place is a 10/10! We want to make staying here an annual tradition and are already planning our next visit.

Very accommodating Hosts. We had use to the full 2 bedroom basement suite along with a fully equipped kitchen, large screen TV in the livingroom. Our Family was very comfortable and look forward to staying there again in the future.

great place for a relaxing weekend. Our group was able to enjoy Apex resort without much driving. Hope to come back soon :)

Cozy cabin, perfect for our family with ski in and out to the lifts. Great private hot tub set amongst the trees. Nicole was great to deal with, very responsive and friendly. Would love to go back for another ski holiday!

Madi, Leanne & Piper were perfect hosts and they stood out as being super flexible and responsive. The cabin is so cozy and comfortable. The location provides good access to everything including the ski hill, close hiking or snow shoe trails and Nickel Plate Lake. I would say it is a perfect size for a group of 6 to 8. Highly recommend checking it out for a few days or more!

We had a great stay! The house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The kitchen was well equipped, and the separate rooms were great for our group. The furniture was nice, and we had a lot of fun with the karaoke machine. Jay was quick to respond to our questions. We would definitely recommend this place!

Very nice spot. Well kitted out kitchen. Location amazing, in the heart of the alpine village, with ample free parking. Very clean comfortable place. Loved the duvets. Felt right at home right away.

Jesse's place was amazing. Had everything we needed and more. Ski in and out was amazing, and the mountains were beautiful. Kitchen has everything you need, hot plate, kettle, microwave, mini oven, coffeemaker, etc. Only downside is not having the dishwasher, but the kitchen is small so really there is no room to put one. Few things to know, queen mattress upstairs is pretty firm, so be prepared, but honestly great after a day of skiing. For the pull out sofa, i wouldn't recommend adults sleeping on it, as it is a really thin matress, my kids loved sleeping on it, me not so much. 😀 Lots of board games provided, smart tv, and internet (which seemed to be working on and off sometimes, so i wouldn't recommend working remotely 🤪). I had full 5g cell signal with Bell everywhere on the mountain. Another plus is joint room next door available with same host, so for party of 2 families, great experience. Overall 5 stars, and we will definitely be back next year.
