Háafell Lodge

Welcome to Háafell Farm where we raise sheep, keep horses and have one friendly dog. Our private guest house is located 200 meters above the farm, up the mountain at 130 meters above sea level. It is a recently built (2020), 100 square meter, modern “turf house style” house. Háafell means “The High Mountain” and has a long river that cascades down its side with several tiers of waterfalls. It is a five minute walk to our canyon and it is possible to take a cold bath in one of the waterfalls.

Bern, newly renovated historic home

Bern, the name of the house, is one of the most historic building in Ólafsvík. Originally built in the 1920's it's one of the oldest houses in the town but recently it has gone through a major renovation and is now in great condition. The house is positioned just off the main road and is in walking distance from most activities and restaurants in the town. With a view over the Breiðarfjörður to north and the historic Fisherman garden to south you won't be disappointed with the view

My house is private, comfortable and set in stunning surroundings with open views. I have made a big effort to make it as homey as possible and equipped it with most necessities and really comfortable beds. The house is located on the edge of Arnarstapi village, closely surrounded by the ocean, vast lava fields, mountains and the majestic Snæfellsjökull. Every season there has it´s own charm but the beauty and peacefulness is always present, pulling you out for various activities.

Wonderful getaway in Iceland

Very nice and homey cabin in wonderful nature, only 45 minutes drive from Reykjavík. The cottage is located close to lake Meðalfellsvatn which is a beautiful lake with great fishing conditions. This private small cabin (ca. 26 qm) is located at our farm Brimilsvellir. You have a magnificant view to the ocean, beautiful mountains and our horses. There are small cooking facilitys in the cabin with a fridge, water cattle, toaster, plate and microwave. You have very great conditions to see northern lights from september until april.
