A trail from the back deck will lead you down to the bank of the emerald waters of the McKenzie River. The McKenzie River Trail parallels the property, and is accessed from the private road to the cabin. The property has a campground setting, with river and forest views.

The Beach House @ Shelter Cove is located at end of a cul-de-sac road in a quiet neighborhood with complete privacy on the property with private beach access, and unobstructed views to the Lighthouse at Cape Blanco, 6 miles to the north. The property is protected to the south with an old growth forest and directly in front of the house is Shelter Cove, providing shelter from coastal winds and where the Orcas like to hang out.
