Camping on a private island in the Kawarthas

Campout on your very own private island in the Kawarthas. Great for swimming, fishing, and enjoying nature. 14 foot aluminum boat provided, no motor...but it's only about 150 ft from our dock on shore to our dock on the island. Boat traffic on the Trent can be a little busier on weekends, so there could be the odd wave which could make it difficult for swimming with or even fun for children. Always wear proper PFD Weekend noise from the trailer park can sometimes go into the night past midnight.

Relaxing Waterfront Lakehouse w/ Air Conditioning

Relax at our all-season, family- and pet-friendly Kawartha Lakehouse on an eastern-exposure waterfront with stunning views of Buckhorn Lake. Enjoy air conditioning during your stay. The screened-in dining room and dock provide a perfect space to unwind, rain/shine. The lakehouse features a fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms, with fresh linens on all beds. A canoe and two kayaks are incl. While there's a clean, shallow sandy beach for wading, swimming is not possible off the dock due to weeds.

The cabin is spacious, fully equipped, clean and comfortable. It is great for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Bedroom 1: queen with a single on top. Bedroom 2: double with a single on top. Living-room has a sofa bed in. *Please note our "NO PETS" policy. There are two cabins on the property.
