A beautiful apartment2.5 Miles from Fowey

Badgers Den is a lovely self contained studio which is beautifully furnished. It has a well equipped kitchen, luxurious bathroom and a comfy king size bed. It has a lovely warm and cosy feel and set in a peaceful rural location. A 10-minute walk will take you to Par beach, pub and the South West coastal path and it’s only 2.5 miles from Fowey & Eden Project. You'll have everything you need here for a great stay and in a fantastic location to explore the surrounding area and the whole of Cornwall. Tea & coffee, milk, biscuits, shampoo, shower gel and towels are all provided. Outside seating, BBQ & free parking and even a warm dog shower! Badgers Dens is a wonderful rural retreat. Perfect at anytime of the year! A big comfy king size bed, double sofa bed, central heating, luxurious power shower, heated towel rail in the ensuite, shampoo & shower gel provided, a well equipped kitchen with tea, coffee, biscuits, pint of milk and filtered water awaits. There is outside space with table and chairs the use of a charcoal bbq and you can pick your own apples in late summer as we have many apple trees! It is situated at the end of a farm track surrounded by fields. A lovely peaceful location between Fowey and Par. You can park right outside the front door and a sensor light will come on when it gets dark. There is a step down to the front door and a step up into the living/bedroom and a step down into the ensuite! We are dog friendly (2 dogs) but ask that their paws stay on the floor and not on the furniture. We have an hand held shower outside for washing muddy boots and dogs and is also great for washing off your wetsuit! The wonderful historic port of Fowey is a 2.5mile drive or a 6 mile walk around the coastal path (or 3.5 miles if you take a short cut inland)! Your able to take a boat trip from Fowey to Mevagissey in the summer months or you could hire and captain your own boat through the harbour! Polkerris is a short walk around the coastal path, a beautiful small harbour and beach with a pub and a restaurant and beach café, the perfect place to watch the sun go down. The famous Charlestown is a 5 mile walk on the coastal path or a 15 min drive. Its featured in many films and is one of Poldarks filming locations. The Eden Project is 2.5 miles away, the lovely working port of Mevagissey is 11 miles, Truro 20 miles, Looe 20 miles, Padstow 24 miles, Falmouth 30 miles. Staying here is a fantastic base as nowhere in Cornwall is more than 1.5hrs drive away. Par is a mainline train station, so getting around even without a car is very easy. There is a range of activities nearby, Woody's Bike Park, a down hill mountain bike park is half a mile away (for adrenaline junkies), kayak hire is available in Fowey as well as sailing and there are a couple of Golf courses and Spas within a couple of miles. Bodmin is 11 miles away, here you can get on the Camel Trail and cycle to Wadebridge and Padstow or a little easier...you could drive to Wadebridge and cycle to Padstow - a lovely flat ride approx 6 miles (one way). You are able to hire cycles at Wadebridge. In Fowey there is an abundance of boutique independent shops as well as Seasalt, Fat Face, Joules and lovely selection of Cafes, restaurants, pubs, delicatessen's, tapas restaurants, fish and chips and pasty shops! In Par (1/2 mile away) you will find a Co op, Spar, Chinese take-away, fish and chip shop, fruit and veg shop, doctors surgery and a couple of miles further you will find St Austell, a large town with all major supermarkets and shops. There is always something going on locally but here are a few of the main events in Fowey:- In May the Art and Literature Festival is on, inspired by the famed author Daphne du Maurier, who spent many years living in and around Fowey. June sees the Royal Cornwall Show in Wadebridge (30 min drive). August sees the Fowey Royal Regatta, a week long of festival activities daily and live music on the quay in the evening. November/December brings the Christmas markets, with festival entertainment, food and drink and an opportunity to pick up some local Christmas gifts. All of these events are fantastic! You really need to sample them all! There are many walks nearby, coastal and woodland, I have given a few ideas in the information guide in the apartment. There is so much to see and do, one visit won’t be enough! Badgers Den will be ready for you anytime after 2pm, but If you would like to arrive early, just let me know... you are more than welcome to leave your car on the driveway and go off exploring by foot. You will have access to the front driveway so by leaving your car you won't cause any problems. The table and chairs at the front of the apartment catches the afternoon/evening sun, it’s a lovely place to sit and listen to the birds and watch the bats at dusk and if you’re lucky, listen to the owls.....there are tawny and barn owls nearby. The female tawny (calls the male a t’wit and the male replies w’hoo?), barn owls just make a short screech sound :) There is information in the apartment for walks etc and we are happy to offer any recommendations for attractions, places to eat etc and are also happy to leave you alone to enjoy your stay! We love to meet our guests and are on hand to answer any questions but equally appreciate that you may want to be left alone to enjoy your holiday! Our house is set in a quiet rural area situated at the end of a farm track surrounded by fields. A lovely peaceful location between Fowey and Par. Plenty of birds, rabbits and foxes and bats frequent the area. Par Sands Beach is a 10-minute walk away along with the south-west coastal path. The Eden Project and other local attractions are only a short drive away. There is a pub within walking distance at the bottom of the hill, major super markets are only a short drive, a local coop only 1 mile, along with your favourite takeaways. If you would like to arrive by train then we will happily collect you from the train station. Par is a main line station, so getting here is very easy. There is a bus stop at the bottom of the hill with regular buses in either direction. If you would like to bring you dog, please bring their own bedding and dog towels. We also ask that the dogs are not allowed on the furniture and are not left on their own in the apartment. There is a grassed area nearby that can be used for morning & evening jobs but as its not secure your dog will need to be kept on the lead. We ask that you please be responsible and pick up any jobs (big or small)! There is a dog shower (hot and cold) at the front of the apartment for muddy paws,boots and wet suits, we would be very grateful if this is used so we can keep the apartment looking immaculate for everyone. Walk to beach, near Eden Project and Fowey

Nestled in a pretty, friendly village 3 miles from Fowey is our well equipped and homely Cornish miners cottage dating from 1860, under a mile from the beach and just a 10 minute drive to The Eden Project. Pebble Cottage is located on a quiet no-through lane (The Saints Way) which leads to open countryside one way and towards the beach and coastal path the other. There is central heating, a private parking space and fully enclosed, flat, sunny courtyard garden (no steps!) with seating and BBQ.

Par on the SW coastal path is our stylish SELF CATERING APARTMENT on it's own floor in our home. A private, well equiped apartment comprising of a double bedroom with sofa and Smart TV. Separate shower room, fully equipped kitchen, parking and wifi. Views over the village and countryside. Par is 3 miles from Fowey, Charletown and 3.7 miles from the Eden project. A five minute walk away is a beautiful beach. We're ideally situated for walkers and close to amenities. We are strictly NON SMOKING.

Krowji means ‘cottage’ or ‘cabin’ in Cornish and is a timber-framed single-storey build next to our 300 year old cottage. A cosy, yet light and airy retreat for two, Krowji is located at the end of a private lane in Carlyon Bay, just a 20 minute walk from the bustling historic harbour of Charlestown. Krowji offers off-road parking for two cars and an enclosed outdoor courtyard with seating areas. * Please note, although at the end of a quiet lane, we are next to the main rail line.

Unique and perfectly situated coastal retreat

Unwind and relax in this historic gem of a home. There has been a mill on this site since 1298 and in 2019 we completely refurbished the current 18th century milll to a very high standard to ensure a truly comfortable and magical getaway. You'll be surrounded by trees, bird song and the constant sound of running water and the sight of our resident heron by the waterfall. The mill lies in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in Daphne du Maurier country, on the Fowey estuary.

The Hay Loft is the first floor of a 1850’s Coach House and Stables. The whole interior measures approximately 16m x 5m. Fully self contained, the apartment is very spacious and can accommodate 2 people comfortably. King Size bed, linen included. Lounge area, 32” Freesat TV. Dining Table & chairs. Fitted Kitchen, dishwasher etc. Large walk in shower enclosure, separate bath, cosy long robes and complimentary toiletries. Decking area with lighting, overlooking open field onto woods.

Connie's Cottage, Charlestown

For just two people, Connie's Cottage stands within 250 metres of Charlestown's famous harbour and beaches and of the South West Coast Path. Stone built and with many original beams and slate floors the cottage is very characterful but has been sympathetically modernised and includes gas fired central heating. There is non-restricted car parking available immediately to the rear of the cottage however in high season it may be necessary to park in the nearby pay car park.
