We walked in and the Christmas tree lights were on and Christmas music was playing. It was lovely. It's a beautiful home and very cozy. Having a bedroom and full bath downstairs makes a difference for many of us (young and older) who may have trouble navigating the stairs to the second floor. This location is nice and quiet yet close to all the essentials. I spoke with Dottie before our stay and she was very nice, helpful, and informative. Thank you again Dottie! We stayed at Dana and Ross’ place for a surprise trip for my husband’s 30th birthday and absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful home with great amenities, an amazing view, and so peaceful. We made two trips to Acadia and felt it was an easy drive to and from the park. We loved the lake view and feeding their chickens. We will definitely be back!

This welcoming home is spotless and cozy. Situated on the bank of a picturesque lake, we were greeted by the peaceful sounds of nature and lovely shades of fall colors. The thoughtful hosts had left tasty treats on the table for us, along with local suggestions. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed. The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were clean. It was an easy drive to Acadia and the coast as well as into the north Maine woods. If you are looking for a house that instantly feels like home, stay here. Jerry and Kristi, thank you for being great hosts. We had a wonderful stay!

Right from the beginning of the booking, the experience was exceptional. Communication was great, house was perfectly set-up, clean and peaceful! All of the amenities, furniture, and furnishings in the home were perfect for a lake house! Little details were thought of by the hosts —even a bouquet of flowers. Highly recommend this space for families who want a peaceful and spread out home for their family but also great spaces to bring everyone together. Truly an exceptional experience in all areas.

Beautiful and cozy place. Had a great stay. Since we visited during Fall season, the place was peaceful and full of Fall colors. Acadia national park is nearby and has some great places to visit during leaf peeping time.

Sarah and Garvey’s place was absolutely incredible. It was also nice to have both places in hosting a larger group, with the guest house just being across the street. The location was impeccable, with an incredible view.

Second stay here and wonderful visit once again. Sandy and Jason are very responsive, pleasant and helpful, and generally great hosts. We woke up to a beautiful snowfall which made the kids happy, and the new garage set-up is great! Thank you.

Darcey was always responsive and honest about the cottage and location. The cottage was updated while still maintaining the rustic and original feel. All appliances worked and there were plenty of water craft to keep us occupied.

Anna’s cabin was just what we wanted in a Maine Cabin! It was located on a private pond and was surrounded by trees and my husband was happy as he could fish (with a Maine fishing license). He had the whole pond to himself. Anna gave helpful tips to catch the fish in her pond and they were useful and worked. The cabin was equipped with pots, pans, and utensils including a gas grill outside on the deck. A guidebook was provided with helpful suggestions. Hosts were friendly and we had a fire together one night. Would highly recommend a visit if you enjoy the woods, eagles, loons, ducks and Canadian Geese. Very relaxing away from the city. We didn’t want to leave!

I had a wonderful experience at The Nest. It is such a lovely, relaxing spot with outstanding hosts that were a pleasure to chat with. The cottage itself has everything you need. It is clear that a lot of effort went into creating this special place. I will definitely be back. Thanks again so much!!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The views were lovely, the lake was refreshing, the beds were comfortable, lots of kitchen stuff, and the showers were hot. The house mostly has what you need. It could use a few more dish towels and bath towels. The long drive to Acadia got tiresome.

Can’t say enough about Craig’s beautiful lakeside cottage. If you like remote, peaceful and being close to nature this is for you. The house and contents seemed brand new and they had thought of everything we could want, right down to pancake mix, maple syrup and Maine blueberries for our breakfasts. An easy drive to Acadia. Craig was communicative, friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay and hope we’ll be back.

The house is great. We couldn’t have Ben happier! My wife and I spent a week to celebrate our 30th, and it was perfect for what we were looking for. Seclusion, peace and quiet. The back deck is amazing looking out over the lake, and a view of Kitahdin. The interior has a very homey feel, and so, as the weather didn’t cooperate so much, we had no problem just hanging out and enjoying the house and the surroundings. The kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed to cook in more often than go out. The woodwork thru out the house, and the quality handmade furniture gave the house a warm comfortable feel. I 100% recommend this rental for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while. 👍

This was our second stay at Brian's place, and it was just as beautiful and peaceful as we remembered. The serene atmosphere and stunning views made it the perfect getaway. Brian was a fantastic host, and we truly felt at home. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at the lake house for a month and had an absolutely wonderful time! The host was very friendly and helpful. We especially loved the log furniture—it added such a cozy touch. The house was well-stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Truly a home away from home. Thank you!

This cabin was great! Amazing location on the water with beautiful views. Convenient spot on the property with easy access to restaurant/brewery/New England Outdoor Center. We had a great weekend XC skiing and enjoying gorgeous views of Katahdin. We even enjoyed a beautiful sunset watching a family of bald eagles on the lake in front of the mountain. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and cozy. 10/10 would recommend and stay again.

I loved this stay! Went for my birthday! Very Pet friendly and the host stocked the cabin with tons of necessities, and was very detailed with the things she had for us! Tons of space for your dog to run and play! Very peaceful and private! Dead quiet! Sooo healing for the soul! This was a much needed stay and a 10/10! So many memories were made this past weekend and we are already talking about coming back! Our dog gave it two paws up!

My husband, toddler, dog and I had a tremendous stay at Joshua’s camp. The description matched the photos exactly—and quite honestly, the camp is even better in person. We loved our time here, and wish we’d had longer! It’s in a gorgeous location with endless opportunities for hiking (even outside of Baxter SP 🙂) within a reasonable distance nearby. We found it rustic, but it had everything we needed to be comfortable (even when the power went out during a windstorm). Joshua was a very responsive and communicative host, and we would love to stay here again!

Jill and Sam’s place was lovely and was everything they described! They were lovely hosts and very flexible. Amazing views & lovely cabin. Would stay with them again!

Mark and Julie’s house had everything one could ask for! Right on the water with an amazing view; within walkable distance to the best brewery and restaurant in town; and close enough the NEOC rafting outfitter to make an early check-in feel rather seamless. Our group traveled with 8 individuals and the house fit us all comfortably. Mark was also very responsive and expressed an authentic care for our trip. All in all, we would certainly recommend his house to anyone else interested in visiting the pastoral town of Millinocket!

Great location right on the lake. Close to hiking spots. Wished there was a closet or larger dresser to unpack our cloths. We did stay for eight nights, so we had more than normal. I asked Zack about camp fires and wood for this, he went out of his way to get us a couple bags of wood to burn within the fire pit. This was an awesome touch!!!!

Hemlock Cabin is a beautiful and magical gem near the coast of Maine.
